HILDENE: THE LINCOLN FAMILY HOME
Robert Lincoln, the only child of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln to survive to adulthood, built his Georgian Revival mansion in 1905 in the scenic village of Manchester. Lincoln descendants lived there until 1975. It truly is a great part of our country's history and an American treasure not to be missed.

The Bennington Battle Monument

Robert Frost Stone House Museum
When he moved his family to Shaftsbury (4 miles north of Bennington, VT), poet Robert Frost was 46 years old and at the height of his career. This modest museum opens a window into the poet's life, with one entire room dedicated to his most famous work, "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening,” which he penned here in the 1920s.
