How to clean and condition wood and bamboo cutting boards and utensils:
- Clean with mild detergent and warm water or rub the surface with half lemon and coarse salt and rinse
- Allow boards and utensils to dry thoroughly
- Using a clean soft cloth, apply mineral oil in an even layer over the surface
- Rub the oil into the wood and allow it to soak in for about 10 minutes; wipe away excess oil
- Repeat every other month or so, more frequently in winter months or drier climates
