These festive cookies with the funny name (pronounced feff-er-noose) are soft with a cake-like texture and spiced with a gingerbread spice blend that includes cinnamon, clove, allspice, coriander, cardamom, ginger, star anise, mace, nutmeg, and a touch of white pepper.
