Always Have a Reusable Shopping Bag on Hand
As we learn more about the environment and how our actions affect it, there’s been an important movement to reduce the use of single-use plastics in our day to day lives. One of the easiest ways someone can begin to do this is by using reusable shopping bags instead of plastic ones every time they shop. In some states, grocery bags even cost money as a way to incentivize shoppers to bring their own.
At The Vermont Country Store, we stand behind this movement, and that’s why we’ve stocked our Kitchen Accessories selection with reusable grocery bags. Here, you can choose from fabric totes or reusable shopping bags made from durable polypropylene. Of course, these bags also show love to our store.
Our environmentally friendly polypropylene bags feature illustrations from our in-house artist. Choose from a scene depicting Vermont’s four seasons or an image of our favorite animals...dairy cows! These bags wipe clean and are ideal for groceries but also make a great carry-all for whatever it is that needs transporting.
Fill Your Kitchen with Our Signature Recipes
Here, you’ll find The Vermont Country Store Cookbook, filled with our favorite appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Discover recipes featuring our favorite ingredients such as pure Vermont maple syrup as well as dishes based on traditions unique to our state.
If you need more cooking inspiration, look no further than the Betty Crocker cookbook. This classic cookbook is a replica of the original 1950s picture book featuring some of America’s best recipes.
And then there’s Cooking with Wholegrains, a recipe book that’s especially near and dear to our hearts. It was written by Mildred Ellen Orton, co-founder of The Vermont Country Store. You’ll find recipes like no other in this cookbook, published in 1947.
