MEASURE LENGTH

The rod pocket is included in the length.

MEASURE WIDTH

For a valance that is gathered, and balloon valances, figure double the width of your window. For a flat, tailored look, the valance should be wide enough to cover the width of the rod plus the side returns of the rod.

STYLING TIP

Valances can be layered over curtains for a polished look or as layered over a shade. On their own, they allow more light at the window while still adding softness to interiors. The easiest way to hang tie-up valances is with two people.
