How to Measure: Door Panel Curtains

MEASURE LENGTH & WIDTH

  • Measure the width of the glass area you are covering as well as the length.
  • Door panels and sidelights are measured from the top rod pocket to the bottom rod pocket.
  • The headings at the top and bottom are not included in the length. Select a panel that is 1 ½ times to double the width of the area to be covered.
  • Door panels and sidelights require two rods, one at each end of the panel.

STYLING TIP

When installing hardware for your door panel, slip the rod through the top rod pocket and secure it to the bracket. Then put the bottom rod through the bottom rod pocket of the panel and let it hang. The bottom of the door panel will fall where you need to position the bottom rod brackets.

Installation Tips

It's easy to create an elegant, custom look!

Installing Door Panels & Sidelights

Door and sidelight panels are held in place by two rods, one at the top and one at the bottom of each panel. Begin the process of hanging your panels by installing the top rod.

  1. Slip the top rod through the top rod pocket of the panel and hang the panel in place.
  2. Slip the bottom rod through the bottom rod pocket, and with the panel hanging straight, mark the location of the bottom brackets. The bottom brackets and rod should be positioned to hold the panel in place without excess tension.
  3. Install the bottom brackets and attach the bottom rod to the brackets with the panel mounted on the bottom rod.
  4. For an hourglass effect, slip a tieback around the center of the panel and overlap the Velcro ends to secure them. That's all there is to it!
