Bayberry candles derive their scent from the bayberry bush, and according to Colonial legend bring wealth and good luck. Our pine candles are made with spruce and balsam oils and bring the heady fragrance of a New England forest into your home. Hollyberry candles capture the fruity essence of this crimson berry, which has long been thought to bring sweet dreams. Available in a traditional covered glass jar (16 oz.) or a set of four 2" tall votives with a 15-hour burn time.

No Scent when burning/burned poorly It has become increasing difficult to find a pure bayberry scent and I have been happy that Vermont Country store has kept it. I have purchased these many times over the years. Sadly this time they did not live up to past experience. I purchased the jar, votive, and pillars in bayberry scent. I gave these as gifts, as well as keeping the jar and a votive for myself. Neither the votive nor the jar bayberry candle give off any scent when they are burning. You couldn't smell anything! The jar candle burned so poorly, like others have posted (I should have heeded their experience). The wick gave out not even 1/2 way through. Very disappointed in these candles, even more so because of past experience of loving these candles. Won't be purchasing these again. January 10, 2013
Expensive candle burns poorly I bought the jar candle in Pine, looking for many hours of enjoyment from it. Unfortunately this candle burns poorly and while the scent is enjoyable I don't forsee using it much beyond this season. It's just too bad. December 17, 2012
poor quality I have purchased these candles for a few years now and the quality has changed this year. I purchased 2 this year, both candles burned unevenly and the wick burned off so 1/3 the way down the candle becomes useless. Very disappointed and won't buy again. November 12, 2012
