Rated 4 out of 5Â by Yer Ranty Aunty Annti Great flannel, good gown, the print not as thrilling.
I was hoping for the ratio of lavendar/puce to green vinery/leaves as was displayed on the website. It's far more green than I would personally prefer, but I'm sure that it will still sell well. Comfy, of course, warm as all get-out, no complaints on the quality or the cut. Have y'all ever thought of just plain pastels for the square-neck gowns? I'd love a soft pink or lavendar, and I'd be THRILLED with solid black. Same for the flannel sheets --- for those of us who spent our lives working "the dogs"/overnight shifts, black sheets are a matter of survival. Anyway, just a thought, if y'all consider any new colors for these lovely gowns and the sheets. Solids are nice, too, y'know? More restful.

I love this nightgown - I have several from past years; however, the new flannel is even warmer. Although I live in southern California, our houses are not well insulated and our temperatures can go down to the low 40s at night - plus we keep windows open so that our cats can enjoy the fresh air - thus, our house can go down to 55-60 degrees. That's where this warm nightgown really helps out - could not live without it!

I've never spent $50+ on sleep/loungewear but as soon as I tried it on, I did not regret it. Very high quality flannel. After reading reviews re sizing and the gown running big (normally wear Large) I chatted with Customer Service and settled on a Medium. For me (5'8", Sz 10-12) it fits perfectly. The shoulders are not too large, sleeves/wrist cuffs comfortable and there is ample room in the gown, though that was what I was looking for. I personally love the pockets and do not notice them while wearing the gown. It hits right at/above my ankle. Will be curious to see how much it shrinks in washing (Cust. Svc. said about 3%) and may let down the hem if it shortens. Look forward to having another.

This nightgown is perfect. It is warm and comfortable and best of all has pockets. After reading the other reviews I checked with customer service about sizing and fond the perfect size for me.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Kimness Fit is true to size
Loved my first one, wore it for YEARS, lost a bunch of weight, needed a smaller one. I now wear XL (16), and reading the reviews, decided to order L. Nope, kinda tight around the upper chest. Exchanged for my true size, and it's perfect. Shoulders almost too wide, but this is before washing. Allows the cooler, open airy neck comfort I love about this design. Before washing, sleeves fall to my wrist, and hem about 4" above my ankle (I'm 5'8") -- wouldn't mind if it was even longer. Overall, extremely pleased!

This has long been a favorite design and fabric of the Vermont Country Store repertoire. Several gowns of recent years in this design were of very poor quality fabric. I am delighted to say that the new gown in tender rose and leaf motifs, is of the finest sturdy infinitely soft Portuguese cotton flannel~ a perfect nightgown. With pockets, no less. Perfect. Am very grateful to the Orton Family and staff.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Comfort dresser Not so sure I like the changes
I've worn these nightgowns for years. I've always loved them, especially the large neck opening since it makes the nightgown more breezy and a little less frumpy than traditional flannel nightgowns. That being said, I hate, hate, hate the addition of the pockets. I don't need the extra bulk and I don't need to carry anything in my pockets at bedtime. I'll now have to spend extra money to take this nightgown to a seamstress to have them removed. And I'm not sure I like the heavier flannel. I'll have to wait to see if it becomes less bulky and more fluid after more washings.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by ShelbyB Insane sizing, but nice nightgown
I got this for my mom for Christmas. She's 5'-5" and usually wears a 1X-2X. Ordered her an XL and even after it shrunk a little in the wash, it's a little big yet. So I would say probably order two sizes smaller than you normally would. Minimal shrinkage and most of the shrinkage was in the length.
Great fabric, very warm gown. Mom approves.
