Rated 3 out of 5Â by Normos I didn't see the "step-in" in your description or would have never bought it
I have specific requirements for a robe, and one of them is that the zipper goes all the way from neck to bottom and unhooks, so I don't have to "step-out" but can just take it off.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Charlotta Bathrobe is just the way I remembered it from the 1970s. Good quality.
My Mom & I had this bathrobe in the 1970s/80s. When I saw it in your catalog, I just had to have one again.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by April May Bathrobe that was just what I was looking for
I have had a similar bathrobe for many years. I had worn it so much that the fabric was about to warn out in a few places and I had not seen anything like it until I found yours in the Online Catalogue. I love the colors and the fabric!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lissette great zipper & warm
Had a robe very similar to this 10 years ago and it finally wore out was so happy to find this robe that is almost identical. Especially when I use it in my Ne York visits where it's really cold.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Salmee Poor fabric an poor design
Sorry to write this review. Most of the sleepwear that I have from VCS is wonderful -- pretty and long-lasting. But in this case the designer apparently didn't think through the project.
I wanted a robe with a snap or zipper closing rather than the prevalent wrap style. This one does not zip all the way to the hem, however. Consequently, one must pull it over one's head or step into it and pull it up. But the fabric refuses to slide over p.j.s or gowns. I first ended up with the entire robe bunched around my neck. It refused to go farther without sticking to the gown fabric and requiring a tug and a bit of a jig around the room. Then I tried it from the bottom: both the robe and the gown were bunched below my hips! This time a bit of hopping around.
To me, robe are cover-ups that you can jump into at a moment's notice and be presentable and comfortable. Getting into this one would be at least a five-minute effort, and I fear that one would be repeatedly tugging to keep it in place.

For $60 I expected a robe that would keep me warm over the winter. But this item's skimpy fabric won't do the job. Although the cut is comfortable, I'm a little shocked at the price â you really don't get a lot of robe for your money.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Coastal A disappointment
This is a warm, cozy, light robe, but it is nothing like the original.
1. This is a lightweight sweatshirt-like fleece with the fleece on the outside. The original fabric was more substantial and smoother on the outside.
2. The original washed up beautifully every time. This new robe got all fuzzy in the first wash, and even after the second wash, the white stripe has blue fuzz on it.
3. The original robe was a bit too long for me, so I eventually had to take up the hem. This robe is a bit short in length and in the sleeves, and I'm only 5"4".
4. The step-in design with a hip-length zipper feels the same to me.
5. If you want a cozy, lightweight robe, this is fine. If you yearn for a robe like the original, this robe is a disappointment.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Geneagal A bit disappointed
This fabric is much lighter weight than I expected, so it's not as warm as I thought it would be. I would like the zipper to open further down, to make it easier to step in and out, rather than dragging it over my head as I do now. Not sure how the construction will hold up during future washes - I'll report back later if there are any issues.
