Too bulky and heavy to suit me I bought this robe to replace an old chenille robe that was getting a bit worn, but I'm not happy with it. It's so bulky and heavy that I don't find it comfortable. Although it fits fine through the shoulders and upper body, the skirt isn't full enough and gaps open as I walk or sit. The fabric quality does seem good even though it sheds quite a bit. But this robe will be going to the thrift store and I'll keep wearing my old robe until I can find a better replacement. February 16, 2015
Wife's Favorite My wife loves Chenille robes, but they are very hard to find, got the Vermont Country Store catalog and there was a chenille robe. Great Christmas gift. January 5, 2015
Best robe I've had in a long time! I have no complaints about this robe. I have washed it and not experienced any of the problems described in other reviews. No shrinking, no fading and minimal lint in dryer vent, I love the waistline and sew in belt and it is very warm and comfortable. One of my favorite gifts to myself this Christmas. December 24, 2014
Chenille robe Bought this for my wife to replace another robe. Warning - put in the washer by itself and the the dryer by itself. Do not have ayone touch it or fibers will go everywhere and on everything. After its washed once and dried in the dryer it is fine. My wife loves it, warm and cozy. A hit. December 21, 2014
Beautiful Color, Cozy & Warm I just love my new Chenille Wrap Robe. And now I do have a robe that I can still show my figure, a little:) Thank you for having such wonderful products. A customer for ever. December 14, 2014
Warm I've loved these robes for years, but unfortunately haven't been able to find them in any local stores. Thanks to your catalog, I'm ready for another cold winter. December 10, 2014
Love the set-in waistband and heavy chenille I had a chenille robe with a set-in waistband in the back years ago, and long after it had worn to tatters I longed to find a replacement. When I saw this robe, my heart leapt and I immediately ordered it. I liked it so much I've just ordered a second one, for when the first wears out. The chenille is high quality, and, yes, the first couple of times you wash it you'll have a phenomenal amount of blue dryer lint. To me, chenille is way nicer than fleece, which is always too hot for me. And the set-in waistband is way nicer than a bulky detached belt. December 4, 2014
warm like a dog; shed like a dog I love this plush, all cotton robe with the set in, waist-cinching belt. I ordered one and liked it so much, I ordered a second. The sleeves were tacked up in place, and I was able to remove the stitching with a seam ripper so that the sleeves were long enough -- I'm 5' 9". Drawbacks: I have been "shedding" blue cotton fibers all over the house for 2 months. (If I'd dried it in the dryer, instead of line drying, the lint would have completely filled the vent.) And. . .the dye after the first wash has faded in streaks, as though the garment was dyed after manufacture rather than using a colored thread. All the same, it is a beautiful color, absorbent, and warm and I hope the company keeps it in stock. March 8, 2014
