Very disappointed Did not put this nightgown in dryer and it SHRUNK a lot, was almost floor length, barely reaches knees now. Also very tight instead of loose. Very disappointed as I have always loved my nightgowns from Vermont County Store. June 14, 2014
Pockets would be great Am a little disappointed in the quality of the material. Aside from that, adding pockets would make such an improvement. March 10, 2014
The softest, most comfortable, classic nightgown I've ever owned At age 53 while recovering from serious back surgery, I decided to treat myself to a high-end nightgown so my convalescence would be more comfortable. Wow, did I hit a home run with this gown. Don't hesitate to buy one! Before I go any further with my review, I'd like to mention that the berry color is a perfect match for the Eileen West Forget Me Not Flannel Robe in peony. The soft, cozy, stretchable cotton knit fabric of this garment makes me feel like I'm wrapped in swaddling clothes. The quality of the fabric and sewing are excellent, the pearl accent to close the gown looks real, the shawl collar adds a unique touch of class and interest to the neck area, and the gown is a perfect length for me. I ordered a medium - I'm 5' tall and the gown comes to about 4" above my ankles. I prefer my nightgowns to be long. My measurements are as follow: bust 39", waist 36", and hips 47"; I'm very pear-shaped. Because the gown has so much give, even the medium has plenty of room in the hip area. I plan to wash it in cold or warm water, gentle cycle, and dry on low until it's half-way dry; then dry the rest of the way on a hanger. Hopefully this will minimize shrinkage but keep the soft feel of the cotton. Truly, you can't go wrong with this gown January 7, 2014
