Women's Lanz Cranberry Tyrolean Flannel Nightgown
A childhood recalled
Growing up in Northern California parts of our state can drop below -11 that is in the Great Sierras so nights can be cold here too. When I was a child I would receive a Lanz night gown every 2 years or 3 years for Christmas. I loved the heaviness of it....and I have great memories of stepping over the heat register to warm me in the morning....and I would blow up like an air balloon....the quality hasn't changed in 40 plus years and this winter now moving to the Sacramento Valley we have dropped below 20 degrees and immediately I washed my Lanz and put it on and I was transported to a sweet time in my life.
Grant you it is not sexy but boy is it cozy. Thank you Lanz for keeping the quality up all these years.

Lanz Cranberry Nightgown
I love all my Lanz nightgowns. I was never a nightgown type of person until I wore one of these. I love them on the cold winter nights. They are the perfect comfort item. This one is especially festive during this Christmas time of year.

First, the good -- the fabric is nice and thick and very soft, and the cranberry color is great. But....the cut of this nightgown is quite different from others that appear, at a casual glance, to be identical. They got chintzy on the fabric; the gathering under the yoke is practically non-existent. The result is a very straight cut gown, with little fullness that I've always taken for granted. The difference is evident from comparing the photographs of this gown and the Nantucket Rose nightgown.
I suppose I' m responsible since I didn't closely examine the two pictures side by side. But then again, it never occurred to me that I would have to. I'm terribly disappointed with Lanz. I've been buying their gowns for 40 years, and I've always been willing to pay their price for a superior product. This nightgown simply does not live up to their reputation. While there's nothing horribly wrong with it, it's really no better than something you could pick up at TJ Maxx for a third of the cost.
Unfortunately, I was traveling when I put this gown on for the first time, and I didn't discover that I had bought a very expensive so-so item till stores were closed, and I had nothing else to sleep in. Otherwise, I would have returned it in a heartbeat.
The fact that I wasted $65, while bad, isn't really the worst of it. I've loved Lanz nightgowns for decades -- and I can no longer trust the brand. And that's the sad part.

I have been wearing Lanz Nightgowns for over twenty years. The store that sold them is gone and was I happy when I found them at The Vermont Country Store. The Lanz Cranberry Tyrolean Nightgown is very pretty. The Quality is as good as it was twenty years ago. So comfy and warm.

Great flannel product
I ordered a total of 3 flannel nightgowns. They do run true to size. They are a heavy flannel and are really warm and cozy--certainly needed this winter of 2014 here in Ohio.

Love the length
I purchased this due to our extremely cold winter this year & the fact that my last flannel gown of 18 yrs has seen its better days. I love the gown because it is 54" whereas most others are only 50". I figured that is why it might cost a little more. The cranberry is beautiful I do not think I would have bought this particular gown but the sales lady recommended it due to my questioning. What a great employee! It comes to my ankles vs mid calf ( very important on really cold nights).Oh & the elastic cuffs(a hugh benefit for me) are great to push up & they stay in place while doing chores.
NOW my wish list: I need at least 1 side pocket I really miss not having a POCKET & if I could get a matching ROBE please I would be in Texas heaven LOL.
PS the lamo slippers with fur lining are a great pair they are like an American version of the ugg but better.... made in the good ole' USA.

Comfortable and warm
This nightgown is nice, although not as good in quality as those of years ago. The fabric is a little thinner. I purchased two other styles from this manufacturer as well as this one. This one laundered well, and shrinks minimally, and does not noticeably wrinkle upon wearing or washing. I did notice that the colors ran a little when washed, even in cold water, but it was minimal. This is a good buy, and better quality than the other two Lanz gowns I purchased.

I recently bought 2 nightgowns for myself(Lanz Tyrolean Flannel ones) because Mother Nature thinks all zip codes
belong to the North Pole this winter.
What a great buy! They're soft, warm, fit well and wash well. I ended up getting some for my sister as well.
Thank you for having such a superior product.....
