A head's up on foot size Socks are a little longer than I would have expected, but I'm on the very low end of the size range and there wasn't any shrinkage after washing. The cotton feels very nice against my feet, which are much happier in an all-cotton sock--no longer easy to find. If I get more pairs (very likely), I may try a size smaller. March 6, 2013
Comfortable socks for Keds, etc. These socks are comfortable and light enough to be worn comfortably with Keds sneakers or other low profile shoes. They wash up very easily and are a pleasure to wear. September 3, 2014
Hate to share sad news.... I love 100% cotton socks, that's why I bought these. I received them and immediately put them on with my sneakers and went out for a walk. Within 30 minutes, I had a hole in the sock where my big toe is located. 30 minutes.... that's sad. They were thinner than I'd hoped and the cuff fell loosely around my ankle. The other two pair in the package held up for the first wear (no holes yet). I haven't yet done laundry to see how they come out. I have not opened the second pair I bought yet cause I'm deciding if I should return them. I guess I'll have to keep on searching for the perfect cotton sock. September 3, 2014
At last! I found socks that fit!!! I have a large foot (size 12). Trying to find shoes and socks is a real nightmare! For socks, I usually have to get men's. When I saw these (they come in a size 12, they have a slight stretch, and a brand name!) I HAD to try them. After trying them on, I got on my computer and ordered 3 more sets! They are so comfortable, they're thin enough to wear with ALL my shoes, and they stretch enough so they don't bind my leg/ankle. I LOVE these and strongly recommend them. July 26, 2014
Can't be found elsewhere My mom loves these socks and can't find them anywhere. Great to find them! They do size larger than needed, so buy average even if you think you should get large. July 2, 2014
Socks are too big at calf I purchased these socks in the hope that they would not bind my calf. Well, they did not bind, but they did not stay up. I wanted to wear them as crew socks and could not. Besides the tops being too loose, the foot of the sock ran larger. June 26, 2014
Good quality Bought these for my 92 year old mother. She loves them. May 19, 2014
Surprized I read the reviews on these socks so I ordered down. I wear a 91/2 size shoe. They still are so big. Hoping that washing them will help to shrink. Also the navy is so dark almost looks black. May 1, 2014

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Women's Buster Brown Ankle Socks (Pkg. of 3 Pairs) …

"My mother was a great fan of Buster Brown cotton socks because she was allergic to spandex and other synthetic fibers found in many socks. Then I started to wear them because they are comfortable. I prefer to wear natural fibers. Very good, reliable cotton socks!" - s mason, lake oswego, OR

"Got diabetes? Wear these socks to help you stay on your feet. I've been wearing these socks for over ten years so that I can wear regular shoes. Their cotton-only structure allows me to be on my feet without friction or constraint. Thank you, Vermont Country Store!" - J A, Topsfield, MA

"My sister and I require 100% cotton socks and they are extremely hard to find. Thank goodness for The Vermont Country Store -- they keep them in stock! Thank you!" - Patricia, Portland, OR

"These socks are very comfortable. Nice cotton. As promised, there is no binding elastic that leaves a dent in your skin. These wash well, too. Another great product from The Vermont Country Store." - Jean Montgomery, Rochester, NY

"This summer I was in a musical in which I needed to wear bobby socks for my costume. So my mom bought me some Buster Brown cotton anklets to wear. I loved how they felt, and they look really cute. I kept on wearing them for school this Fall and have them on my Christmas list. I am a junior in high school and a couple of my friends have bought Buster Brown anklets at my recommendation. I love the great fit, and the thin fold-down cuffs look nice and dressy when I wear them with skirts or dresses. Thanks for stocking them." - Amy, Atlanta, GA

"I had bunion and hammertoe surgery on both my feet, and my skin is still very sensitive where the incisions were made. All my other socks were uncomfortable, since they put pressure on my feet. These Buster Brown socks are the only ones I wear now, since they don't bind. They hold up well after washing and look great, too. Be sure to buy the correct size for your shoe size, since they will shrink a little the first time you wash them." - Jane Trucksis, New Orleans, LA

"I have worn Buster Brown Ankle Socks for many years as a thin liner under another pair of socks in the coldest weather or when engaging in winter sports such as ice skating or snowshoeing. They're less costly than silk, and the extra layer prevents blistering as well as keeping my feet toasty warm! Thanks, Buster Brown, and thanks, Vermont Country Store, for keeping them available!" - Pat Malcolm, Lewiston, ME

"They look good and they feel good, too! I like that they are sized to fit and not one size does it all. Cotton socks without spandex or some form of elastic are hard to find." - Patricia, Downers Grove, IL
