I love these slippers...and I Love that the bottom is NOT glued in. I throw it in the washer and it keeps them clean and smelling fresh! I have no problem with the inside soles bunching up....BUT the bottom sole (rubber?) did split open. My husband tried glueing them but it did not hold. Vermont CS was great. They have a 100% guarantee and replace them at no cost.
They do run a little small....I think because of the nice thick insides.
Wonderful slippers....let's just hope this pair holds up!

After I cemented/glued on the inner soles, my wife was very happy.

The slippers look like the picture and they are very warm and toasty. But the inside bottom piece is not attached - it is just laid inside the slipper so it bunches up and moves around as you are wearing the slipper. It is very disappointing.

These are great slippers except for one thing which has made them miserable: the shearling pad inside the soles is not glued on. Therefore, each time I wear them it begins to work its way back until my toes are hanging off in front and the pad is emerging at the heel. I wonder if this is just a flaw in this particular pair or if it is just the way they are put together? I live in an old house with very cold floors and having warm soles is very important to me. I am going to have to pay to have these liners attached by a professional. (I also wonder if anyone at VCS will read this and respond.)

Many years ago my parents went to Australia and New Zeland. They brought us all back sheep skin slippers. These were absolutely the best slippers I have ever owned... once they wore out I started looking for more... This year I rean across the Vermont Country Store and found these wonderful slippers. They are warm, comfortable and fit me perfectly. I absolutely love them...

These are nice looking and warm slippers but I wouldn't waste my time and money buying them. The innersole is not attached and becomes displaced when removing shoes and when walking. Each time you take a step the innersole bunches up in the back of the shoe and you have to remove shoe and put it back in place and then next time you walk, guess what, you are back in the same situation. These would be keepers if the innersole were attached securely to the bottom of the shoe.

I read the reviews and ordered a size up from my usual so they fit well. However, the inner sole began buckling up within a few steps and the next few had it bunched up uncomfortably under my toes. The upper part seems well-constructed but the sole, while waterproof and non-skid as promised, is woefully thin and not at all the plush inside I expected for the price. I will keep them and glue down the inner sole since I need them so badly but be warned.
