Rated 5 out of 5 by No More Batteries I bought two so I'd have both finishes. Big chance on a product I could not see. I was pleased as punch. The band is not too long so it fits my wrist perfectly. I wind the watch I'm going to wear when I first get up and it goes for about 36+ hours. It's so nice to know I won't be running around town next year looking for someone to insert fresh batteries. The face is clear and the numbers are simple. The watch compliments just about every outfit I wear. January 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by "Batteryless" I like this watch!! just wind and go. No batteries to replace every 2 to 3 months, which will save a lot of money. Thank you..... January 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by was delighted to find a hard to find product unfortunately I was only able to enjoy the watch for a short time because one of my 7 kittens made off with it! but I will keep looking around the house for likely kitten hiding places because it's an excellent watch. good sturdy, attractive band. keeps time perfectly. and the Vermont country store provides outstanding customer service. I am looking forward to doing my Christmas shopping with them again. October 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simpler time I have three watches that all need batteries. When I first started wearing a watch it was one that I would wind. So simple and easy and certainly less expensive. Just decided to return to a better way. I can see the time better on this watch too. September 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks great, no batteries! I got tired of paying for new batteries in all my cute watches once a year. Bought the silver-case wind-up watch. Comfy, reliable -- and surprise! -- is on-trend for today's watch faces. Lasts 30 hours on one winding. Keeps great time - have never lost or gained a minute. Loved it so much I bought the gold-case one too. Very professional looking as a business watch (my primary use), but goes with any outfit, dressy or casual. If you offer more wind-up watches I'll buy 'em. Gave my "cute accessory" watches to my nieces. April 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wind Watch Very pleased with this watch. It is difficult to find a watch that is not quartz these days, and I was glad to find this one. Nice size, not too big, but large enough to read the time easily. Recommended! December 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by An affordable wind-up watch! Easy to read and set. Band is a better quality than I expected. So far, keeps excellent time. Just wish the stem were larger. March 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I wanted I was tired of my quartz watches needing new batteries so frequently. Have two, one would go out and then the other and I have to drive a 1 hour round trip over winding roads to get a new battery put in. Now I have the time all the time. If I haven't wound it up enough and it stops, I just check my computer for the time, set the watch and wind it up again. iT IS NICE LOOKING HAS A VERY READABLE FACE AND I LIKE THE LEATHER BAND -- IT FITS ON SMALL WRISTS WELL -- I GOT BROWN LEATHER AS I THINK IT BLENDS IN BETTER WITH MOST THINGS THAN BLACK DOES. It would be a good watch for extended outdoor camping as well. October 21, 2013

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Womens Wind Up Watch …

"Thank you for sending my recent order so fast. I was both glad and surprised when I received it. I love the wind-up watch. Now I have a dependable timepiece I can count on, and I do not have to be concerned that the battery will run out." - Marie Bergeron, Quincy, MA

"Thank you so much for your prompt service. I am 78 years old and when I was a child I had a wind up watch which I cherished. Today all you find in the market is quartz. For this reason I wanted to have one wind watch. I appreciate very much your interest. Thanks again." - Ana M Collazo De Vivas, San German, PR

"I have been looking for this watch for 5 years. I am tired of quartz watches." - Joyce Dutton, Glenside, PA

"In 1990 I received for my birthday a windup wristwatch that had been purchased from your company. I am writing today to tell you how pleased I have been with its performance since then. As a nurse, I need a timepiece that I can depend on to perform consistently, accurately, and under the most adverse conditions. It is for that reason that I refuse to wear a quartz wristwatch; my history with those indicates that the battery will die at the most inopportune time possible. My watch is vital to my job performance, and I would not trade this one for the most expensive watch on the market today. The watch I have recently placed an order for will be my 'dress' watch; I have been waiting to see it reappear in your catalogue for some time." - Christi Bornholz, RN, Wilmington, NC

"Boy, it's hard to find a wind-up watch in this day and age. Once again, it's Vermont Country Store to the rescue with yet another hard-to-find item! First off, the size of the face is perfect and is big enough to see without glasses but also feminine/small enough to fit nicely on my small wrist. In other words, this definitely looks like a ladies' watch in spite of the generous face size. As far as winding goes, the first week the watch kept stopping because I was so afraid of overwinding and breaking it but eventually discovered that I wasn't winding it enough! The winder has very strong tension, and upon feeling that resistance, it felt like I had wound it to the maximum. Now that I've had it for a while, it's easier to tell when I've really reached the end of the windup. The only criticism I have is that right out of the box, one end of the leather band was coming unglued, and also in spite of my very small wrists, the band seems fairly short. But then again, I do like to wear a watch high up on my wrist so I usually change to a longer leather or expansion band. For this watch, I have a long calfskin leather band on order at the local jewelry store. Other than that, I am very happy to have this watch." - Kathy, Fayetteville, NY
