Great fit I purchased this for my Mom who is wheelchair bound. She has taken to wearing dresses because they are much more comfortable than pants. This dress is perfect for her. The fabric is soft, the fit is perfect, the length covers her knees while she is sitting. She will be able to wear this during the very warm California summers as well as the cool winters when she can wear a t-shirt under the jumper. She likes it so well that we are going to order another one! June 22, 2013
Fabric content The material was not what I expected. It could have had more stretch / give to it. I was thinking of getting the pull on skirt, but after feeling the material in the jumper, I've decided against buying the skirt. Oh and by the way, I see where my personal information lists me as male which I am, but this item was bought for my wife. July 18, 2014
Denim Jumper - hard to find I need to wear loose fitting clothing for the duration of my chemo treatment and this jumper is just perfect. Wish they were in different colors too. April 10, 2014
The Quality of the Jumper has gone down over the years I have bought this jumper over the last 17 years. I wear it every day for my habit as I am a Diocesan Hermit. Over these years the jumper has gone from being made in the USA to being made in China. The fabric weight has gotten lighter and lighter. The cut of the jumper which used to be roomy, has been cut down considerably so that it is close fitting, and the sizing has changed too. It has gotten to the point that it is no longer the jumper that I liked and loved. I now have mine made using the old jumper as a pattern in order to get the weight and roominess I enjoyed in the past. I would buy them again if VCS went back to the old formula that worked for so many. March 20, 2014
Please return to the prior versions I have been buying Vermont Country Store denim jumpers for many, many years. I wear the jumpers 1-3 times each week. The current version isn't as comfortable as the older A-line version. The the material is much too lightweight, and it is too short. I still have old ones from 15 or more years ago. They have given me excellent service. Every year I either purchased or was given as gifts 1-2 jumpers. Since your current product isn't as good as it has been in the past, I have been looking for alternative sources and have spoken to a seamstress about making them for me. That is sad. For so many years I depended upon you to supply what had been an exceptionally good product. March 15, 2014
petite I really liked this jumper. I am quite petite & so am having it hemmed a bit. Several comments compared it somewhat unfavorable to an earlier version with heavier denim & better fit but I thought both were great. This is going to be a comfortable outfit for all season (I live in Mississippi). October 18, 2013
change in product First let me say that V.C.S. products are always good.....but......this dress (jumper) which I have been wearing almost constantly (I mean 5 days out of 7 each week) since before 1971 has changed several times during the years. At first it was a nice heavy, like mens blue jeans, material with seams down the front and back and a zipper part way down the back. The zipper was never used as it went on over the head nicely and the A line flair started under the arms so those of us shaped like a teletubby were comfortable and had lots of room without looking like a tent. The zipper disappeared and the front seam disappeared and that was OK as they were not needed. The material became lighter thus allowing the back seam to pull out easily leaving a white line down the center back. Then the cut became slimmer and the jumper was longer (no problem as I could shorten it) but the slimmer line was restricting. I do like that the under arm holes have remained comfortable but high enough so it can be worn without another layer under (nice in the summer) but have become unhappy with the slimmer cut, lighter material which has improved some. I still have some of the original jupmers in my stash but they are fairly beat up and look like the knees of my hubbys well worn jeans. I have had fun embroidering, stenciling and decorating them too. I DO miss the original product but if you are built a bit slimmer than me and don't want to use these as an everyday dress like I do, than it a good product. I do wish V.C.S. would go back to the original A line and a good thickness of the material. Meantime i am learning to sew out of necessity. From time to time I still check in to see the jumper and awaiting the day when the description once again reads A line. I must say the V.C.S. is great about returns so I am not hesitant to order and try on to see if fit has changed. August 11, 2013
