Just like my childhood memories....Love, love, love My German Grandma made this when I was a child. I loved it so much. This Stollen is the best and closest to what I remember!! I was going to put it on the Christmas dinner table, but, the more that I looked at it, I thought, "hmmm, there really is alot of food." I am not ashamed to say, after Christmas, I ate the whole thing in about a week. tee hee Shame on me, but, it was a Merry Christmas!!!! January 4, 2014
Need this every Christmas This is as close to the stolen I grew up with as possible, and every year I look forward to ordering one from Vermont Country Store. It's delicious! January 3, 2014
Raisin Stollen I bought it as a gift. My friend told me that it was good tasting but lacking the fruits and nuts that were supposed to be in there. The only ingredient she could pick out was raisins and way too many. December 31, 2013
Delicious and festive Christmas Stollen I ordered a Christmas Stollen for myself, my mom, and all of my siblings. This was a traditional bread my mom made and I wanted to bring back good memories for everyone. I was extremely happy with the freshness and taste of the bread, as well as the delivery and presentation. I will definitely purchase this again. December 31, 2013
Best ever - tried other brands and this is IT! If I remember correctly, this is probably the fifth year I've ordered three stolens at a time to share with my sons for Christmas morning brunch. December 28, 2013
Enjoying our German heritage in a tasty way! My mother's childhood name was Lindle, God rest her soul! We were the last of the family left, and would treat each other with one of Vermont Country Store's various stollen selections. This is definitely the best of the bunch! You must heat a slice briefly as Iit is delicate, with a small dab of butter. . .delicious! October 18, 2013
Embarrassing to Give as a Gift I sent this bread to dear friends for Christmas that just love traditional German stollen bread. They were thrilled when it arrived and took pictures of the package and talked about how excited they were to eat it on Christmas eve. I felt like I had given the perfect gift! Then, after Christmas I realized I had heard nothing about the bread. We have always promised to be honest with our food gifts to one another. I called and my friends were so hesitant to tell me how bad the bread was. They said it was soooo dry and just not good at all. They would know what good stollen bread should taste like. They were in the military and lived in Germany. I'm so disappointed and very embarrassed that this was my gift to them. Of course, we are friends that are honest with each other, but I had placed my confidence in The Vermont Store to sell the finest product, and was very much disappointed. I will not buy this again, and I'm very sceptic to buy any food item from them in the future. January 2, 2013
Worth the splurge Without question, this is the best stollen I've ever tasted, and I've tasted many! January 2, 2013

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Traditional German Christmas Stollen …

"Your Christmas Stollen is the best stollen I've ever ordered. My mother has had stollen for Christmas for 70 years, and proclaims yours is the best she has ever tasted!" - Harriet Fischer, Bronx, NY

"My German grandmother made stollen every Christmas. I looked forward to that special treat each year, and although I have her recipe, I always order one from your store. It is just as good as what she made all those years ago. Now I look forward to receiving my stollen each Christmas! It's delicious and I savor every bite." - Nancyona54 Carson, Marbury, AL

"Because they are like the ones my grandparents in Germany would send us here in America to have and to remember them by. They are both gone and my mother is in her 80s, and this is a way that she remembers her childhood in Germany." - Suzanne J Arnold, Golden Valley, AZ

"I just received your Christmas Stollen, and just in time for company. When served, it got nothing but raves. My mother used to bake stollens and as much as I loved hers, yours is even better. It's moist, chock-full of fruits and raisins and the taste is incredible." - Anita, Hooksett, NH

"This stollen is just like the stollen my grandparents had every christmas morning. I am happy to be able to share this tradition now at my home with my husband and daughter. Thank you for helping keep up the tradition." - Jocelyn Howard
