Will not walk down stairs
I had an original Slinky when I was a kid. They did walk down stairs. This replica, while sturdily constructed, is considerably smaller than the original Slinky and will not walk down normal sized stairs. My wife, who was nostalgic about the idea of having a Slinky, was disappointed with this gift for that reason.

I find the slinky to be very relaxing. When things get maddening at work, I just take out my slinky and rock it back and forth in my hands. Both the feel and sound are very soothing and after a couple of minutes I ready to return to work

Gift for Granddaughter
She was amazed and played quite awhile with it, trying new things after getting tired of going up and down the steps. Great to see old toys never go out of style. Thanks...

The Slinky product was too small
The Slinky was too small and didn't go down the stairs as advertised, so we are quite dissappointed.

Still a kid at heart
I had this toy when I was a young man. I am now seventy years old and it still amuses me. Of course I got it for my grandson but couldn't resist playing with it myself for a few minutes.

Old time Philadelphia Christmas
My husband talks nostalgic about his family Christmas in Philadelphia. His father bought him a slinky every year to enjoy. I purchased this as a surprise for him.

Brings back old memories!
How wonderful to see one of these real slinkies again! My father got me one when I was 9 years old. (I'm 76 now.) We lived upstairs over our business, with a long flight of stairs---the hours I spent with my little dog chasing the slinky down those steps is one of the best memories I have of childhood. I'm ordering it now, just for myself. I have no family, but my present little dog now has steps to get herself onto the bed, so I'll see what she thinks of slinky coming down them. After all, growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.
