Sweet, innocent, and decidedly lightweight, these baby doll pajamas are 100% feminine through and through, and speak of those summer pajama parties of our youth when cool, comfortable jammies were a must to counter the effects of those hot, sultry nights. They're fashioned from breezy 100% woven cotton batiste to ensure they do just that, and are graced with lace for added style and appeal. The sleeveless top has a flounced hem and is accented with a satiny bow. The bloomer-style bottoms provide maximum modesty with lightweight coverage, and have an easy-fitting elastic waist and nonbinding elastic leg openings. Machine wash and dry. USA from imported material.

Love 'em! Seeing these offered by VCS triggered such fond memories of baby doll pajamas from growing up in the '60's, I had to order some. I got the blue set, and while they're not what I'd call "exquisite" sleepwear, they make me ridiculously happy! So much so that I immediately ordered the floral print set, and I like these even more than the blue ones. Yes, the floral fabric is a blend, but that means it has more body than the all-cotton blue and pink sets, wrinkles less, and is generally more wearable around other people, if that's a concern. (It's also historically more authentic for those of us who were preteens in the late '60's, heh.) And it's a fresh, charming print of pink, blue, green, and yellow. I still love my blue ones, though; I expect that, as they're worn and washed, they'll grow softer and softer, like a much-loved hankie. They "sleep" beautifully, with no twisting, binding, or tugging. I was a little surprised to see, when I came to leave a review, that VCS has put these on sale since last week, when I purchased my floral set . . . but all the more reason to spring for these, if you're on the fence! I'm 5' 5", 175 lbs., and the Large size is a generous, comfy but not sloppy, perfect fit. The more I wear these, the more I think that baby dolls really are the perfect pajamas: they're cute, comfortable, cool, covering, and uplifting [really!]. They keep the spirit of innocence, and that's something that we never outgrow. I'm inspired by the reviewer below who made her own for years and years; I regret that I didn't do the same. I wish VCS would persuade Eileen West to produce some of their lovely designs as baby dolls. Now *that* would be fabulous. Thanks so much for carrying these, VCS! April 23, 2013

Good old Baby Dolls! I have worn baby doll pajamas since I was a teenager - I am now 75! I had to make my own for years and years. I can no longer sew, and these are pretty close to perfect. Would prefer no slit in the side, but I can live with that! January 5, 2013
