Glad I can sew! I had a robe like this many years ago and liked it very much. This one is not made of the same weight fabric and I also had to repair a front seam where the person who made the robe caught the underneath fabric and it made a long tuck down the front of the Robe. I was able to take out that seam & repair it. I am sorry to have to tell you this but at the same time I do think you should know about the quality of the merchandise, or the people who do the inspections. January 2, 2013
Mom's favorite robe My sister & I were looking at your holiday catalog when we saw the fleece robe. We were transported back to our youth when our mother had the exact robe (in the blues). It was her favorite robe and she literally wore it until it fell apart. We knew we had to get it for her. The minute she opened it, she held it up and said "This is my favorite robe". Very near to the original I could not resist getting this robe when I saw it. Unfortunately, the zipper is too short, as mentioned by the others. I plan to replace the zipper if possible, because I love this robe. This robe was in style when I was a teen and I had it in pink, mom had too. The fit, color and material are all fine. The pockets are great, the only problem is the zipper which falls just below my waist...inexcusable flaw. Yet, I will keep it and replace the zipper myself. December 30, 2012
Fleece robe 1. When we opened the package, the robe smelled like the petroleum based ink some newspapers use. My friend had to take a shower because she started to smell the same way. 2. The color stripes on the front are not sewn in carefully so they are not smooth. 3. The zipper is short making it difficult to put the robe on. The Vanity Fair robes that this is a copy of have a very long zipper. 4. I plan to return this item December 28, 2012
Inferior quality This item was of substandard quality. Purchased as a christmas gift, I was told the fabric was much thinner than one originally purchased in the 1970's when this particular robe was popular. Item is being returned. December 25, 2012
