Rated 2 out of 5Â by Salmee Poor fabric an poor design
Sorry to write this review. Most of the sleepwear that I have from VCS is wonderful -- pretty and long-lasting. But in this case the designer apparently didn't think through the project.
I wanted a robe with a snap or zipper closing rather than the prevalent wrap style. This one does not zip all the way to the hem, however. Consequently, one must pull it over one's head or step into it and pull it up. But the fabric refuses to slide over p.j.s or gowns. I first ended up with the entire robe bunched around my neck. It refused to go farther without sticking to the gown fabric and requiring a tug and a bit of a jig around the room. Then I tried it from the bottom: both the robe and the gown were bunched below my hips! This time a bit of hopping around.
To me, robe are cover-ups that you can jump into at a moment's notice and be presentable and comfortable. Getting into this one would be at least a five-minute effort, and I fear that one would be repeatedly tugging to keep it in place.

For $60 I expected a robe that would keep me warm over the winter. But this item's skimpy fabric won't do the job. Although the cut is comfortable, I'm a little shocked at the price â you really don't get a lot of robe for your money.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Coastal A disappointment
This is a warm, cozy, light robe, but it is nothing like the original.
1. This is a lightweight sweatshirt-like fleece with the fleece on the outside. The original fabric was more substantial and smoother on the outside.
2. The original washed up beautifully every time. This new robe got all fuzzy in the first wash, and even after the second wash, the white stripe has blue fuzz on it.
3. The original robe was a bit too long for me, so I eventually had to take up the hem. This robe is a bit short in length and in the sleeves, and I'm only 5"4".
4. The step-in design with a hip-length zipper feels the same to me.
5. If you want a cozy, lightweight robe, this is fine. If you yearn for a robe like the original, this robe is a disappointment.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Geneagal A bit disappointed
This fabric is much lighter weight than I expected, so it's not as warm as I thought it would be. I would like the zipper to open further down, to make it easier to step in and out, rather than dragging it over my head as I do now. Not sure how the construction will hold up during future washes - I'll report back later if there are any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by bobo1 great purchase
It came on time and my wife loves it!! It's not too long and the sleeves are the perfect length. She wears it frequently. I'll probably buy another one next year.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by not really pleased fond memories
Had a robe that was the same style years ago, this one OK but no where near the quality of the former. A bit disappointed, but I'll use it as it's hard to find robes that aren't tied at the waist or much too roomy if hanging from the shoulders. Sorry that the quality of materials aren't available anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by andwapp My Mom loved it!
My Mom is a shut-in and wears robes all the time. This is the only one that I found that is long enough and just her style (and her favorite color). She says it's perfect! Thanks for helping make my Mom's Christmas Merry!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Penny Roche Exactly the Robe I borrowed from my sister!
When I was in my teens in the sixties, my older sister had this exact Robe! I always borrowed without asking and she never said anything to me. It was so soft and wonderful. So, I purchased one for her with a note that apologized for being such a selfish teenager!
