Women's Wild Rose Flannel Pajamas
Lovely pattern and fabric
The flannel is nice quality, very soft and comfortable. They're very warm for cold winter nights or chilly spring ones. They're a pleasure to lounge in before bedtime and a pleasure to sleep in.

I purchased the "Wild Rose' p.j's in Large, expecting them to be loose and comfy. (This is the size that I have ordered from VCS in the last several years.)
They were 'skimpily' made, and no where near as comfy as the "cardinal' pattern that I have worn for two winters, now.
If I were you, I would not use the manufacturer of those Wild Rose pjs again.
P.S.: I have a sister in N.Y. who is ill and lost 50 pounds in three months. The Wild Rose will do for her for now. So all is not lost.

The flannel itself is of good substantial quality, nice and soft. There are two problems with the bottom part. First, compared with other pajamas I've purchased from the Vermont Country Store, the upper end is barely deep enough to reach my waist. Pajamas that bind in the seat are not good. Second, the system for tightening the waist so that the bottom part doesn't fall down does not work. There is a very narrow casing, with some skimpy elastic in back and drawstrings in front to pull and tie. But it is nearly impossible to pull these flannel drawstrings through a flannel casing so tight. Finally I took my seam ripper and just undid the whole casing, removed the little elastic and drawstrings, and ironed the top (now raw) edge of the bottoms flat. Fortunately I had a flannel remnant that color-coordinates with the pajamas. When time permits I will sew on a band about six inches high, then fold it down in half and hem it, in effect adding nearly three inches to the top end of the bottoms, which should make them roomier and therefore more comfortable. At the top of this extension I'll sew a casing about an inch wide and insert a proper band of elastic all around. This will be much more comfortable around my waist and certainly more secure in terms of the bottoms not falling down. But I should not have to resort to such measures.

Mom 99 Loves Flannel PJ's
Two years ago I got a pair of flannel pajamas with the red cardinal pattern for my mom and during the Winter they keep her toasty warm. This year she decided she wanted a second pair so I got the Wild Rose pattern and in addition to keeping warm they are just the right size. She doesn't ask for much but keeping warm is important to a ninety-nine year old.

PJ's for Mom
I sent these and another pair of pajamas to my mom in her nursing home. She simply LOVES the softness and warmth. She has even stated that all the nursing assistants that help her dress always comment on how beautiful her pajamas are and how warm they feel. They are just perfect for her!

"Sleeper" Christmas Gift
My wife was looking through your catelog just after thanksgiving. She has a habit of ear marking pages in catalogs when she sees something she likes. I saw your catelog by the night stand and opened up to the pajamas and knew that this would be a gift that she would love. She loves the fit and coziness of the flannel pajamas. When we go to VT we love to stop at your store. thanks.

Beautiful but not Comfortable
I love the design and pattern of these pajamas, but I am disappointed. They are very uncomfortable. The pants at the waist are big enough for an elephant and what little elastic there is leaves much to be desired. I have to pull hard on the drawstring to keep them up. They are cut too tight in the crotch - ouch! The flannel is not the quality I would like. The top is cut good at the top but is too narrow at the bottom. It doesn't lay flat.

Beautiful Fabric but Uncomfortable Cut
I am not writing this story for posting, only for consideration of a few points that could use some attention.
I REALLY wanted these snuggly and seemingly well detailed pajamas, but unfortunately they were uncomfortable. The top is cut way too short and when I lay down on my bed for a test, I noticed that the top side hip cutouts leave a big, cold GAPS before the pants start. I knew this would be cold!! Also, the pants drawstring did not work. The casing was sewn so tightly that the string would not even move inside without tugging, and it could not extend to back of the pants. The back of the pants just sat there with little to secure them, and again, since I could not keep them UP, there was even more "open space" under the short top. Unfortunately, I had to return the pajamas and am now still sleeping in my old long sleeve T Shirt and some old cotton leggings! Not too FOXY, But at least I am warm!
I would recommend a redesign of the top to make it longer and a more careful monitoring of the casing fabrication so it is functional.
