Rated 3 out of 5Â by Maine Lady Coarse Fabric
Many years ago I received a similar gown from the Vermont Country Store which I recently had to retire. That gown was made of a soft cotton. This gown was much coarser, like a linen jacket. Nice, but not what I expected when ordering. I returned it.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by HumanBehan Great fabric, questionable construction
The fabric gets softer with each wash and is a pleasure to put on each evening. However, the buttons just fall off because they're sewn on so poorly.

Before my present one wears out--probably never--I bought a second to have on hand. The gown softens over time and is warm in winter and cool in summer. Love it! Love it!

I was looking forward to a nice light cotton nighty, but got a heavy almost like burlap course material nighty. Sorry I bought it. And sorry I have to review it this way.

This gown is what I have always wanted. It's perfect for the cool weather we were getting in south Florida and it was perfect for my trip to Colorado. It is a great lounging gown since you cannot see through it. I am very happy to have purchased it. Price is steep but the quality is good. You won't be disappointed

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Laurie W Nice mid-weight gown
This gown provides a nice medium-weight option, as the fabric is thicker than batiste or lawn, but lighter than flannel. Although it is called Summer Innocence, I find it works well for the cool weather that passes for winter on the Gulf Coast. The fabric is coarser textured than lawn or batiste, but is not at all scratchy or stiff. The heavier weight also allows the fabric to be opaque, not see-through, even though it is white in color.
I an 5'9", and the hem hits me mid-calf. I did find the elastic in the sleeves to be a bit irritating, as it hit rather awkwardly in the middle of my forearm. As it was only held in place by a single row of stitching which was not part of a structural seam, I was easily able to rip it out. I much prefer the sleeves without the elastic.

Love the look. Especially like the elastic in the cuffs. Wish I could get this in a robe! I am always looking for robes that button as I dislike belted robes.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Alexi unusual fabric
I really like this nightgown - bought two of them in fact. However, unlike customers who said the fabric is soft and comforting, when I put it on I feel as though I am on a wagon train heading west in the 1870's. The fabric feels coarse and basic, like what might have been worn in those days if the ladies changed into night wear. My only criticism is that when the sleeves ride up the elastic is tight. It's a pretty nightgown.
