Very Disappointed This gown is not generously cut, at all. Everything is skimpy. The sleeves are cut so they do not even form a ruffles below the very skimpy elastic. The bottom and sleeve hems are not finished - merely serged - not even turned under! The body itself is barely gathered below the yoke, and cut nearly straight down, instead of fuller at the bottom. The ruffle at the bottom is also lacks fullness, making it quite a skimpy ruffle, and its one seam does not align with either of the body's side seams. This is not quality workmanship. There are no pockets. There is one ornamental feature, in the front only: lace over the seam joining the yoke and the barely gathered body, which, while not elaborate, is quite nice. Also on the plus side, the fabric is a comfortable weight and is not rough or scratchy. However, the skimpiness and lack of finishing rates an overall of only two stars. April 4, 2013
Such fun to finally find this! I have been looking for this exact thing for years! I had a summer gown like it 20 years ago and have wanted a new one forever - the length, the 3/4 sleeves, the yoke with feminine detail, the light material, the flounce at the bottom, etc. So excited to get this!
