This robe is overall pretty and I am glad I have it; the plaid is woven into the fabric rather than printed on. The plaids do not match however. It is not a warm robe if that is what you are looking for. It is lightweight brushed cotton not heavy flannel; I bought it to wear out of the shower and it is fine. I did purchase it purposefully oversized to avoid gappage. That means the arms are really long, about 4 inches past my fingertips so I have to roll them up quite a bit. It has inner ties and the belt is permanent--with a waist band in the back. Side pockets would have been ideal rather than patch pockets. The mauve velvet ribbon trim is really a nice feature around collar and cuffs--except with the sleeves rolled you cannot see it. Since it is cotton it wrinkles. The front belt loop had to be re-sewn as it was not stitched in correctly, just hanging loose and served no purpose. Overall a bit pricey for the quality I think--but not so bad that I would send it back.

I love my new Eileen West robe! It is absolutely stunning to look at, but when you put it on and touch the flannel, it has a supremely soft hand. The quality of both the flannel and the construction are superb, and the details are beautiful. Oh, and it is warm, too for these Chicago temperature fluctuations.

My old flannel bathrobe was getting pretty worn in spots, so I hunted around for a new one. This one has the ties attached, so they won't get lost. Washed it once and I didn't seem to shrink as much as I had expected.
The back is gathered at the waist, which means it can be fully wrapped in front and not blowsy in the back. The fabric weight is what you usually get, maybe not as heavy as one might like if your house is cold.

It's a little short waisted for me but OK still comfortable, washed up fine in cold water and warm dryer.

I was hoping to find a long, flannel robe for the cold winter weather. This robe, however, is not it. It is pretty and is constructed well, but when I held the robe to the light, I could see through it. This is just too thin to keep me warm.

The robe is well-made with all the finishes. I found the designs and color mesmerizing and they drew plenty of compliments for its sophistication...It was warm and comfortable to wear with useful POCKETS.
The fabrics were generously cut to keep my body thoroughly covered in warmth and comfort. Thank you, Vermont Country Store, for this robe and you guys are wonderful to work with!!

I have been looking for a light-weight flannel wrap robe with an inside tie and two front pockets that is made of SOFT flannel - something that is very difficult to find! A web search led me to The Vermont Country Store and this Eileen West bathrobe. I was a little put off by the price, but was willing to give it a try since I had not been able to locate anything else that met my criteria. It arrived today and I am totally sold! The cut, the fabric, the weight, the design - it's perfect! I ordered a size small since I normally wear a size 8. The proof will be in how it holds up to washing. If it does not shrink or fade, it will be worth every penny!

I will not buy a robe without an inset waist. So, I was perusing the catalog looking for a nightgown for my Mother and saw the Eileen West Regal Plaid Robe. I couldn't believe it! I'm so glad Mother needed a nightgown because I don't think I would have found this jewel. The robe is very comfortable, lightweight but warm, excellent for Virginia winters. (I found some German boiled wool slippers that match!) I'm going to order another one just to have on hand when the current one wears out.
