I'm very fond of batiste cotton fabric, and this is a good quality batiste. For those not familiar with it, it's quite thin, and is traditionally used in lightweight ladies undergarments, summer nightgowns and even handkerchiefs. For those desiring a somewhat heavier cotton fabric with more body, try broadcloth, which VCS also carries. I've used both kinds for years. That said, although I've bought the matching half-slips and culottes-style divided slips before, this is the first time I've tried the batiste camisole. From the back it looks like a slip, not a cami. Adjustable in theory, but a pain to do while wearing, so one has to take it off and try not to let the fabric bunch or fold while adjusting the straps. I usually wear a 42C unpadded, no-wire soft-cup bra, and bought the size 42, knowing that the full slip (size 44) from Velrose was much too large, especially in the under-arm area. This cami fit snuggly across my bust after laundering, but the armhole areas are still too large, showing the sides of my bra. A minor problem, as I seldom bare my upper arms or under-arm area, but others may need to know this and plan accordingly when making a purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Geneagal Love these cotton batiste camisoles
These are the ONLY camisoles I can find that still are made of cotton (and cotton batiste at that). I live in TX, with brutal summers. Most camisoles are of nylon, spandex, polyester, or something else that is just plain HOT. I hope they never disappear from the catalog!

I had purchased another style of camisole from you and really liked it, but it doesn't seem to be offered now. The one I just received does not fit as well and does not stay tucked into my slacks and is more expensive than the other one.
