Warm & cozy Very cozy and warm, great for cold winter nights. This is the only nightgown that is warm enough for me--I get cold easily. I usually wear a size large, but because I already have the plaid flannel popover nightgown (size large), I know that these popover sizes tend to run a tad small (if you're like me and like your nightgowns kinda loose and comfortable), so I ordered a 1X in the long fleece popover nightgown, which was absolutely perfect. Warm! I am disabled and thought this would be good to put on in the morning when I didn't want to get dressed yet. It is comfortable and warm, really too warm for my assisted-living apartment. But it hasn't done what I wanted, but that's not its fault. It's just too long for me to handle, and the navy blue that I got shows everything. March 10, 2013
Wish Come True! Years ago my mother gave me a popover fleece gown. I loved it and wore it until literally fell apart. I have looked at the fleece popovers in the Vermont Country Store catalog for several years. This year I finally decided to gift myself with the blue gown with the red color. It fit so perfectly and is so warm and cozy that I ordered another one in green in January. I use them more as a robe than pajamas. I got the large and it fit perfectly. I personally hope Vermont Country Store carries these delightful popovers for many more years. March 7, 2013
Finally found it!!!!!!!!! Have been looking for this robe/nightgown for over 20 years....received a very similar one 28 year ago at the birth of my son and have worn it to a complete frazzle but refused to throw it away because I loved it so. Now at last it can go in the rag bag............this robe is the perfect replacement! I tend to get cold easily and need a good heavy robe to keep the shivers away. This one is heavy enough to do the job. Did not fade or pill when I washed it and is long enough to cover the long legs and arms of my 5'10" frame. WAY overpriced Cheap construction, VERY poor collar inset, short sleeves. I ordered 2 sizes larger because of previous reviews and it's still pretty iffy. Maybe worth $20... February 1, 2013
Very comfortable This is my second popover. I wore the 1st one for 15 years. It's still in good condition. The problem is, it shrank about 4 inches after the 1st wash. It must have been the water because at that time I didn't own a dryer. The new one fit me perfectly ( I'm 5'10") until I washed it. This time it only shrank about 2". So I will probably wear this one, too small, for years to come. That's how much I prefer these comfy sweatshirt like popovers instead of a bathrobe. I just wish they made them with a pre-shrunk fabric. January 7, 2013
Back Home I have searched high and low for this exact nightgown, with a high neckline and no lace in sight. I didn't find anything until I went back to my home state of Vermont. As usual, my love for the state, pointed me in the right direction to the Vermont Country Store, and aha! there it was. I won't be able to wear it often, but when I do I'll be snug as a bug in a rug in my long fleece popover nightgown. December 26, 2012
disappointing I last purchased this gown 25 years ago and can still wear it, though it's thin. I'm disappointed in the workmanship of this one. The cowl neck is placed so that it pulls to the back (it may be inserted backwards) and the sleeves are slightly too short. I'm wearing it anyway since it's warm, but won't buy another.
