helpful person on telephone
I called to ask the measurements of two sizes on various garments. The person who took my call was extremely courteous and friendly. With her help I picked a size and when the garments arrived the fit was perfect.

Great sleepwear
This is my third cotton broadcloth nightshirt. The following is not a complaint, but a suggestion for product improvement. 1) The seams at the bottom of the garment need reinforcement. 2) The elbow areas wear out before the rest of the nightshirt. I reinforce the bottom seams upon receipt, but I haven't sewed in any elbow patches yet, though I should. Otherwise, this nightshirt fills my needs, and I'll continue to buy and recommend them.

Love nightshirts
My favorite nightshirt is one I bought in an army surplus store 40 years ago, it was surplus from the austrian army. I still wear it. This nightshirt, the one from Vermont Country, is a clone of that shirt but in a slightly lighter material. Thats why I gave it four rather than five stars. I have been wearing it these past cold nights and it has worked well. We will see how it holds up. I doubt it will last the 40 years that the other one did, but at 72 years old neither will I.

Great
I was not sure about this purchase. However, it is just great. Washes and dries well. Very easy to wear and care for. Will certainly purchase another one in the near future.

sleep well
As a last-minute idea for Christmas Day (my wife and daughter always wear new matching PJs on Christmas Day), I ordered the Cotton Broadcloth nightshirt. Vermont Country Store was the only place [retail or on-line] to buy a night shirt that was a) oxford cotton broadcloth b) not plaid!, and c) in the long length. I rang VCS's toll-free number after 9pm on 18DEC and was greeted by one of the sweetest young ladies - regretfully I did not document her name but sweet as barley candy - who took the order 1-2-3, and it arrived in plenty of time for Christmas Eve. Since then I have worn it every night.. Gents - try it! Very comfortable, and easy-on/easy-off. My father - in his mid-80s - who has had one hip and both knees replaced now wants one.. Makes perfect sense. Many thanks, Orton Family!! Happy New Year to all.

perfect for "hot a lot"
This nightshirt was just what I expected, perfect for Houston where it is hot a lot. The length is just right, comes enough below my knees.
My only objection is that the sleeves should be short for light weight sleepware. Your short sleeve summer wear nightshirt is too short for modest wear, even for a relatively short person - 5' 8".
