Women's Eileen West Fairy Tale Flannel Nightgown
Not grannie's flannie
My new house is miles N and gets much colder at night than my old abode. I finally decided to break down and buy a flannel nightie. My memories were of those old stiff Lanz nightgowns with high necks and collars that needed to be washed about 400 times before they became even a little bit pliable. I bought this one because it had a lower neckline and no fussy cuffs, elastic, or itchy lace. And it's a dream. Soft and pliable, warm but lightweight, easy to wear, and it's beautiful. It's lovely. I might have to buy a 2nd one as a spare.

the gown is so comfortable and not to heavy.
I was hesitating on ordering this gown thinking it would be too heavy for me. I was looking for a gown that would be warm, but light. I love it. Thinking about ordering another one. When you find the one that you like, better get another, before its gone!!!

Very Pretty Flannel Nightgown
I never wear nightgowns or flannel to bed, but was looking for something soft, warm, and comfy to wear around the house instead of a robe. This (in the pale lavender color) is almost too pretty to use in that capacity. It launders nicely and is a pleasure to wear. On the down side, the description said 3/4 length sleeves, but the sleeves reach all the way to my wrists. I have to roll them up to wash dishes. Perhaps this is because the gown runs extremely large. I often do not fit into 3x, but I could easily have ordered a 2x and still had ample room. It really did not shrink much in the dryer either. The sewn-in tag was scratchy, so I will need to remove it with a seam-ripper.

I researched almost every flannel, night gown on line. I really gritted my teeth when I decided to spend this much money for a gown. I ordered the white/XLARGE. ( I sometimes wear an XLg , sometimes a 1X) I noticed no shrinkage after washing in cold water and drying on low heat. The gown fits perfectly with enough volume so I can pull my feet and legs up under the gown when very cold. Plenty of room under the arms with no binding. All the detail work on the gown is lovely and well executed. Flannel weight is medium to heavy and quite warm. (The white is very white not a vanilla or eggshell.) I am very pleased with this purchase and may buy another.

Nice but too pricey
This nightgown is attractive and warm (runs big so I would buy a smaller size if I got again). And, best feature, it has pockets! But it was too expensive for what it is (in my view). It is a perfectly serviceable, attractive, flannel nightgown but I am sure one can be had for less than $70+ dollars. I think I was expecting something a little fancier.

I purchased this gown as a gift in a Small for my mother who is very petite. She let me know that for size, comfort and warmth, this is the best flannel gown she's ever owned. She owns other flannel nightgowns and liked the warmth but found them too heavy and bulky. Eileen West seems to have gotten pretty, functional and practical all right in her design. Would definitely purchase again.

This nightgown is thick quality flannel with pockets.
My daughter wanted a flannel nightgown for Christmas. This Eileen West nightgown is roomy and has pockets.
She loves it.

I have been looking for a soft, comfortable gown, for quite some time. I have received The Vermont Country store catalogs for years but never paid attention to the clothes. When I received my new catalog, I started looking for gowns and found the Eileen West Fairy tale gown. I hesitated about spending that much money for one item, but after reading the reviews, decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I love it! It is roomy. I have a mixed sizing L to XL. I went with the Large and it is very roomy, not uncomfortably so, I can stick my legs and feet up in it. I probably could have used a Medium but it is okay. I love it so much, I'm getting one for my Sis in Law. If you prefer tighter fitting gowns, then I suggest you get the next size down.
