Colored Bubble Lights
In the late 1940s, when Christmas trees were a part of classroom decorations, my second grade teacher had bubble lights on our class tree. Every afternoon during "rest time" the classroom lights were off and the tree lights on. I thought the bubble lights were magical, and they have always been a symbol of my Christmas Past. Several years ago my daughter bought me the bubble nightlight, and now I will finally start treating myself to a string of lights each year. Some things get better with age!

My Christmas Past
These are the lights we used to have on the live tree we had as children over 50 years ago. It does wonders to my heart seeing them again. I bought a set a few years ago for my sister and when she puts them out, I have such fond memories of Christmas Past!

When I was a little girl , the youngest of three girls whose mother was raising us alone in a state-subsidised project, we could not afford a Christmas tree, but a neighbor had one with bubble lights on it. When I discovered them at the Vermont Country Store, I ordered them instantly. I am now widowed with three grown sons. The first thing I do after Thanksgiving is pull out my tree and put my bubble lights on it. They always remind me of how blessed I am now!

I remember having bubble lights on my tree when I was a girl growing up and I always wanted them on my tree as an adult. I couldn't find them anywhere til I found them here on your website.

I remember these lights on my grandfathers tree every Christmas.. and on our own tree as time passed. Spending hours with my mom, just gazing at the decorated tree, all the colored lights, the bubble lights, listening to music coming from the LP records and playing with the Lionel train under the tree. Once the bubbles finally stopped, I would take the glass tube out carefully and the light bases would be used as 'spot lights' on the village or train under the tree..

Good quality, brings back memories!
I love these lights on our tree! They add an old fashioned warmth, and my son thinks they are great. Good quality, still working after 3 years.

Christmas Memories Brought Back & New Ones Made
My earliest memories of a tree involve watching the twinkling lights flicker off of the ornament globes of the tree as the bubbles went upward in the tubes. I never wanted to touch anything lest I spoil it. Now my children and grandchildren have the same joy if they come to my home or sit in theirs as I have bought their parents a string. They sit spell-bound watching the beauty made by these colored lights. It is a tradition of pleasure worth handing down to your children.

My earliest memories of Christmas, and decorating the Christmas tree, include these beautiful bubble lights. I was a daddy's girl and, after the tree was all decorated, he would plug these magical lights in, and just the two of us would sit on the floor, in front of the tree, with pizzelles that my mother had made, and watch those lights for what seemed forever. It was "our" special time together. When I had my own family, I made sure that these magic lights were on my tree. Now my granddaughters marvel at their beauty and always say, "Nani, tell us about you and your daddy watching these lights." These lights warm my heart with such loving memories.
