Eileen West Fairy Tale Flannel Nightgown
Not grannie's flannie
My new house is miles N and gets much colder at night than my old abode. I finally decided to break down and buy a flannel nightie. My memories were of those old stiff Lanz nightgowns with high necks and collars that needed to be washed about 400 times before they became even a little bit pliable. I bought this one because it had a lower neckline and no fussy cuffs, elastic, or itchy lace. And it's a dream. Soft and pliable, warm but lightweight, easy to wear, and it's beautiful. It's lovely. I might have to buy a 2nd one as a spare.

Fairy Tale Nightgown
I received the softest, most beautifully designed nightgown by Eileen West that I've ever worn. Mine is in a gorgeous lavender, and I'm tempted to get it in white. When I wear it I feel like a princess on Cloud 9! Though this style and color was available in the past, it was always my favorite one, & having a new one is special. The pintucking adds an heirloom quality. Fabulous. Thanks, Vermont Country Store Family.

This is the warmest and most comfortable flannel nightgown I've purchased. In fact, after purchasing one, I ordered three more.

wash before returning!
I bought this nightgown because I love the one I already own and I was afraid that VCS might stop selling this style (the old one is a few years old, but is still pretty, cozy, and in great shape despite frequent usage). When the new nightgown arrived, I was shocked at how huge it was. Fortunately, I contacted Customer Service before returning it: I was told that it "might" be sized larger than in previous years, but that I could still return it even if it had been washed in warm water. So, I went ahead and washed it and -- although still a little large after one washing -- it fits pretty well now and I imagine it will shrink a bit more with further washings. FYI, I'm 5'4, 120 lb pear-shaped and I ordered a small.

It was Christmas time and while I was gift shopping at the store in Weston, I fell in love with the flannel nightgowns. I touched them and discovered their substantial weight and goodness. I needed something warm that I could easily pop on in the mornings. There were so many prints I just couldn't decide (besides, I was not shopping for me!). Upon returning to my chilly home, I went back to the website to pick a nightgown. Again, I could not choose a pattern. So, I picked 'white'. HOW REFRESHING !! The light color is NOT an issue.
It's easypeasy loveliness.
What a fantastic gown this is! It is so warm and smooth and soft!
My husband says I "look like an angel floating around in our home" when I wear it.
He loves it. Me too.

A little bit of heaven here on Earth.
This is a high quality nightgown that lets you feel every inch a woman. It's beautiful and stylist, yet practical by keeping you warm even when it's minus 20 degree outside. Although the size chart says I should take an XL, Eileen West is extremely generous. A size Medium was the perfect fit for me. I can't wait for spring so I can treat myself to another Eileen West nightgown and robe in the lighter weight.

PRETTY, FEMININE, AND WARM GOWN
While the temperatures in Tennessee don't stay cold as long as when we lived in the Midwest, we like to keep the thermostat low while sleeping. This is a soft pale lavender and pretty long. The hem hits me below mid-calf (I'm 5ft 9in) so it doesn't ride up while I sleep, as shorter ones do. It is a soft, comfortable flannel weave and the detailing is exquisite. The fit is loose and roomy, but more attractive because of the styling. A big plus is the hidden seam pockets on both sides. I previously bought thin PJs for summer of the same brand, Eileen West, and have been happy with them. So I knew I could depend on the quality of this gown.
