Caution - same name, different product. Okay, tell Unilever that I have tried. I just can't get used to the new formula that they rolled out two years ago. Go figure, why would they abandon that wonderful scent that I have enjoyed for most of my life? If you like the aroma of paint thinner, the new Pears is for you. I have been a loyal user for forty years -- I won't be buying any more! (Do an internet search on Pears Soap for the full story before you buy!) January 3, 2013
Pears Soap brings back memories When I was a young boy (in the late fifties), we had an aunt and uncle who owned a drug store in Michigan that carried Pears Soap. Once or twice a year my aunt would send some to my mother in Buffalo since we couldn't find it anywhere. The drug store, aunt and uncle are all long gone and I thought the Pears Soap was too until I saw it in your catalog. I sent some to my sister for her 60th birthday and it made her day.
