Just as the review said My mom who is very shy in public had a problem she thought could not be solved. Every time she would go through the TSA the scan would buzz and she would have to be body searched. She is 83 and the only thing that made the machine buzz was the bobby pins in her hair bun that is made of metal. We were not very hopeful about these pins because she has very little hair but just like it said, it magically grips her hair and stays on. She will leave for her trip soon and this time with confidence that she won't draw attention by beeping at TSA lines! December 26, 2012
These are the BEST HAIRPINS! I've had baby fine hair my entire life and my mother used this type of hairpin (smaller of course) in my hair since I was a child over 50 years ago. They've always held my hair in place, not like traditional bobby-pins that always fell out or rubber bands that broke my hair or tore it out when trying to remove them. Love these! Putting one's hair up is always (to me) a sign of maturity and style. Unfortunately I never could manage it with those tiny metal pins. I loved the Magic Grip Hairpins at first use.
