Beautiful, but.... I am giving this gorgeous bedspread 3 stars for functionality. First, as another reviewer noted, the bedspread is definitely not made with the larger mattress sets in mind. Don't believe the picture, it doesn't come to the floor! I had to buy a dust ruffle so that the bed frame didn't show. But my biggest complaint is its weight. At almost 10 lbs it is extremely heavy and it is literally hard to turn over beneath it. Keep these two things in mind before you buy. Regrettably, I am returning mine, and I appreciate VCS's willingness to give a refund so I can find a bedspread that works better for us. April 22, 2013
Gorgeous but with one problem This bedspread is really lovely. The workmanship appears to be excellent but what I really love is the soft look which is achieved by interweaving the color ( in this case the green) with the ivory. It even makes lying in the bed more of a pleasure! Also, there is a nice weight to it; It is substantial. I have mainly a pink and ivory color theme in the room and this soft green sets off those colors beautifully. My only complaint and request is that it be made to fit today's larger mattresses. As it is, it is about two or three inches too short on either side. (The head to foot measurement is fine however.) This really bothers me, but I guess there is nothing I can do. Would VCS please ask the manufacturers to make it longer on the sides or at least offer two different lengths to better accomodate the variety of mattress widths. And if this can happen, let it be known in the catalog/online. If this happens, I'll order it again! Thank you. August 15, 2012
