Disappointed We were really looking forward to a rich flavor in the pudding and in the Brandy sauce but both were not what we thought they would be. In fact, we thought they were bland. Also, the quantities were backwards...too much sauce and very little pudding. If we could have returned it after tasting it, we would have. December 11, 2014
making mom happy Each year we buy our mother-in-law your plum pudding for Christmas. She loves it and looks forward to it. I guess as a young girl she had homemade plum pudding and this is very close to it. We thank-you for your fine product! December 11, 2014
Christmas comfort food Every year I try to purchase a couple small plum puddings for my hubby and myself. It brings back fond memories of home in the UK and the holidays. I will admit, I am to lazy to spend 8 hours steaming the wonderful treasure. November 27, 2013
plum pudding Pudding was good but a bit dry. I assume it is because there is no suet put in the puddings now a days. I would recommend it for others but would suggest the manufacturers try and substitute something for the missing ingredient of suet. January 2, 2013
Are You Kidding? When my children were young, they remembered my father lighting brandy soaked plum pudding at our Christmas dinners. They were not fond of plum pudding but wanted to recreate for their children this wonderful memory. So I bought from Vermont Country Store the two pack of plum pudding. When it came I was amazed. The plum puddings were like cup cakes. We did not use them for Christmas memories since they would have created a funny memory rather than the cherished one my children experienced. In the catalog add nothing prepared me for the size of the plum pudding. I also have two brandy sauces that I ordered with the plum pudding which would probably cover a dozen of these little pudding cup cakes. I can not express the extent of my disappointment. Very rich! But so small!!! These are very rich, little cakes. I was very surprised how tiny they were. I won't buy them again, I'd rather make them, so I'd have more. ;-) December 30, 2012
Plum Pudding rich enough to delight Scrooge Every Christmas eve after dinner, we sit back with a hot cup of tea, and eat our Christmas pudding. This is a delicious treat for Christmas celebrations. Try it with the tasty brandy sauce, and it is out of this world. Makes every Christmas just a little bit merrier! December 4, 2012
Yummy My husband loves the plum (Christmas) pudding from the Vermont Country Store. It's practically impossible to find it locally and we know that if The Store offers it, it'll be fresh. His mother was British and made these cakes herself. These are as good as hers. November 27, 2012
