Inspired by the simple beauty of a moonlit night, this enchanting woven cotton nightgown by Eileen West is as innocent and sweet as your first love. Featherweight combed cotton lawn nightgown is adorned with latticework floral lace, pintucking, and shell buttons, is trimmed with lace interwoven with satin ribbon, and is generously cut with a full sweep. The hemline has floral lace, petite vertical pintucks, and a girlish ruffle. Approx. 52" long. Machine wash and dry. Imported.

Lace is pretty, but tears easily I have bought several nightgowns over the years from Vermont Country Store, among them Eileen West. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed by the quality. The Moonlight Sonata Nightgown's lace inserts are a weak point and tear easily, both on the yoke and in the skirt. My nightgowns usually last several seasons, but this one was ripped after 1 season's use. To extend the life of the gown, I ironed white fusible tricot as a lining in the bodice, and ironed strips of the same along the lace in the skirt. I expected a garment of this price to be a higher quality. March 9, 2013

Christmas Gifts a hit After worming my wife's size out of her, I chose 4 dresses and a nightgown for her as a Christmas Gift. Despite all of the other things I got her for Christmas, she could not help but comment on into the night about the dresses and the sleepwear.(ie. "They are beautiful. I can't believe you got these for me. What ever made you decide on clothes? They are so beautiful." etc.) In fact she took them into the bedroom and put them where she could see them from the bed. We have been married for 58 years, and this is the first time she showed such exuberance about any present. In truth, I have usually bought her jewelry and this was the first time I bought her clothing. I don't pretend to understand the love of women for clothing, but if I had known, I'd have stopped wasting money on jewelry long ago. January 3, 2013
