average 60s phone one of the number's sticks-have to use another telephone January 5, 2014
great extra phone We needed a plug in land line in case the electricity goes out and we can't use the cordless phones. This one is perfect for the price; nothing extra, but you can turn off the ringer and it lights up when it rings; November 11, 2013
Slim line phone I wanted a simple phone to have in my basement- no bells and whistles. This is the one for a spot that doesn't need an answering service, caller ID, etc. October 28, 2013
My Slimline Phone My new phone sits on the ledge above my small eating table in my kitchen, where it is a perfect fit. It is just the right size for my hand and easy to move around when needed. I love it. October 25, 2013
Lightweight Phone Cheap in appearance I was hoping for a quality product, but was dismayed to see, that the phone looks and feels very inferior, to the wall phones I had in the past. Would not recommend this product. September 27, 2013
I can hear it ringing! I HAVE a slimline phone, it has been attached to my land line for years. But, a while ago, it stopped ringing. I tried to repair it but could not. So, when a similar phone was offered at such a reasonable price, I bought one -- same size, same color, everything new. What a good idea. And it rings! When the power fails here, and our cell phones are out of juice and out portable phones need a place to plug in, this phone keeps on working. It even lights up with independent power from Verizon. My advice: don't give up your land line -- and get a slimline. September 20, 2013
A good phone is hard to find First of all, it's hard to plug the cord into the jack, as the jack is recessed in a narrow spot on the phone. Those of you with big fingers, be forewarned. More than this, the ring is HORRIBLE and ear-splitting. Sorry, phones didn't ring like this in the good old 1960s when the Slimline came out. The only two ring settings on this phone are "on" and "off'; there's no way to adjust the sound. Looks like I need to try yet another phone! July 21, 2013
Slimline Phone are still around! I have searched in local stores for the slimline phone of a certain style. I'm happy to see that Vermont Country Store is offering these and some other older version phone styles that I love as well. I love nostalgia items of days gone by. Thank you! :-) June 9, 2013
