What do we sleep in on hot, sultry summer nights? 100% cotton seersucker, of course. We love it for its puckery texture, which stands away from the body so air can circulate, keeping us cooler all through the night. Navy piping on the button front, cuffs, and chest pocket adorns each striped pajama top; pajama bottoms have an elastic waist with an adjustable drawstring for added comfort.

Does not breathI love cotton seersucker shirts for the way they breath in the hot summer weather. As a long time user of Vermont Country Store's all cotton pajamas, I was hoping the Seersucker Pajamas would be an even better alternative for hot summer nights.
Unfortunately, my recently purchased pair is very warm -- much warmer than my other summer PJs.
My guess is that the all cotton fabric must have been treated with some "perma press" chemical that both reduces wrinkles and causes the cotton to not breath properly.
Other than these are warmer to wear than I expected, the construction, fit, and overall quality are very good.
The pajamas are recommended -- but not for warm / hot summer nights.

Pretty good but not perfectThe lace iin one of the Pajama's broke within a week. The buttons on the shirt are too far apart resulting in parts of body being exposed.
The quality of cloth and design is very appealing.

Perfect sleepwear for summerRemembering how cool seersucker suits are in tropical climes, I ordered a pair of seersucker pajamas from The VCS. A great choice! The pajamas are light, comfortable and cool on hot summer nights. Paradoxically, they keep me warm at dawn, when the temperature here in Tennessee's Smoky Mountains drops to the low 50s. Summer nights, I sleep with only a sheet atop me -- at most, with a sheet and a thin blanket. The seersucker pajamas are like wearing sleepwear with a built-in thermostat. And the pants have pockets, so I can wear the pajamas as a daytime house garment. Well worth the price.

Perfect for those not-so-cold nights! My husband complained that the polyester pjs I bought him were simply too warm. I remembered how comfortable he feels in his seersucker shirts, searched the web and found this pair. They are nice, sized perfectly, quality finishing details and launder easily with minimal shrinkage. Best of all - he is more comfortable, can't recommend them more.

Perfect for me!Believe it or not, but I'm almost 60 years old and have never worn pajamas in my life! I live in South Florida and I work year round outside in the golf business. I have rented a room that has a wall unit air conditioner that really works well. When I get home, after literally suffering all day in the heat, I like to turn my room into the South Pole. I usually wear sweat pants and a long sleeve golf shirt to bed and I then decided one night to give these Seersucker pajamas a try. Well, I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to putting on these sharp looking pajamas. They are comfortable and keep me warm in my self induced polar climate. I am pleased I gave pajamas a try after not wearing them all my life.
