Rated 3 out of 5Â by Cottage lover Runny dyes made a sorry sight.
A long, long lover of Lanz gowns, I was so disappointed in the after laundering looks of my Cardinal flannel gown. The quality of the flannel was still very good. But washing made the red run just enough to spoil the looks. Perhaps I washed it on warm, as I have all my Lanz gowns over the years. A second gown of a different pattern, washed and retained it's good appearance.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by tru dye ran
I've bought a lot of Lanz flannel nightgowns from the Vermont Country store over the years, and they have all been fine. But the last time I washed this cardinal one, the dye ran. It turned the nightgown pale pink. Fortunately it did not noticeably affect the things I washed it with.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Birdlover Soft, Thick, Warm...Just Lovely!
This is my first Lanz nightgown and I was not disappointed...it is the first one that kept me warm all throughout the night without being overheated. The flannel is of the highest quality and surprisingly soft as well. I have been able to sleep through the night these last few nights, and I attribute this to the nightgown. It is generous in size, and I love the design of the neckline because somehow, it does not overheat me.
My only wish is that the nightgown would be 2 inches longer. I am 5'3" and it is above ankle length for me. Still I love my nightgown and have already requested hubby for another one on Christmas...the Nantucket Rose...that one is 52" in length, and looks beautiful too! Merry Christmas to all!!

All of my Lanz nightgowns I ordered are wonderful. They are not made with cheap, thin flannel. They are fluffy, thick and warm and fit me just right. Nightgowns like these are never available in stores here in Seattle. Neither expensive stores nor discount stores. These nightgowns may seem a little pricey, but the amount of yardage of high quality flannel explains much of the cost. These nightgowns are very roomy.

I am very happy with my new flannel nightgown. It's soft and comfortable, and keeps me warm. I like it very much. (My only slight complaint is that the cardinals do not really look like cardinals. I'm not sure what they resemble.) Other than that -- a perfect nightgown for this woman :)

Rated 5 out of 5Â by The Present Buyer Hard to get Grandma a gift.
As many people may have the same experience, it is very difficult to select a gift for Grandma as there is nothing she needs. However, while most women love elegant night wear, it is not often a purchase one makes for one's self. Such with the case with Grandma, and she loved the nightgown! Now, we only have to convince her to use it always and not "just for good".
