Reminiscent of the original Bradford Celestial Tree Topper of the 1950s, this gold star flickers red-gold-green from a revolving light behind a pebbled-glass lens. The sturdy plastic unit, which can sit atop the tree or a table, stands approx. 12¾" tall, including base. Indoor use only. Comes with a replaceable halogen bulb. 70" cord. UL listed.

Danger: For indoor use only. Handling of coated electrical wires of this product exposes you to lead. Wash hands throughly after use. Never attempt to replace the bulb with a higher watt bulb. For your safety, this halogen bulb is with low voltage. However, make sure before proceeding, be sure the unit is unplugged and your hands are dry, be sure to wait until the bulb cools down. Looks similar, but doesn't work the same I was really excited to find this star, since my mom still has her original, and I wanted to re-create my childhood for my daughter, remembering when I would lay on the floor and watch the colored stars dance across the walls and ceiling...however, this star does not throw out the colors, and what white light it does throw out does not go very far....it looks very similar; but compared with the original, I can see some differences without taking it apart...and there must be even more differences, since there are no colors on the wall or ceiling...rather disappointed overall; but like I said, it looks similar; so if that is all you are looking for, go ahead and purchase... :) I'm hoping this manufacturer will come up with something that not only resembles the original, but actually acts like it, too...let me know ASAP if they do! Color - Changing Star I love it, I put it on a box because my tree was little this year. I loved the way it put lights on the celing and how it sparkles. I gave it a average because the back of the light kept coming off and so did the bottom but other than than I loved it. December 26, 2012
Brightening my daughter's life. Due to to diabetis my 43yr. old daughter is legally blind. She always loved her grandmother's tree topper, then our tree topper and wanted one for her tree. Her boyfriend found this topper in your catalog and immediately had me order it. The surprise was exactly what we expected. She loves the lights. This made her Christmas and ours. Very unlike "original" produce I owned one of the original 50's/60's tree toppers and loved it. I really hoped to be able to add the same touch to my tree top through this item. However, it is much too heavy to mount on most tree-tops and the transformer that is necessary to use the light adds to the difficulty of putting it on a tree. The colors do not compare with the "original" model. I will keep it and perhaps be able to use it somewhere in my decorating next year. The difficulty is that there is no on/off switch so it has to be located somewhere that it can be unplugged or turned off by means of a switch. December 12, 2012
Remembering Pop-Pop I remember always sitting and watching the colors as they revolved around our living room. It was like being in a dream world. It was given to us by my Pop-Pop. When I grew older and had a home of my own the "special" Christmas Star was passed on to me. By this time it was at least 25 years old. So now a 2nd generation experienced the same feelings that I felt as a child. My own children. Well in the process of moving our "Special Christmas Star" was lost. Sweet Memories My brother bought a tree topper just like this one for my parents when I was a very little girl. I remember how much I loved it each year. When my parents passed away my brother gave the tree topper to me. Unfortunately, it was broken. My husband and I have tried to fix it, but it was beyond repair. I have never thrown it away. It has moved with me everywhere we've gone. I was thrilled to see this tree topper in your catalog. I have spend most of my adult life looking for one.
