This does not smell anything like a carnation I'm sorry, but this expensive perfume was a complete disappointment; it did not smell anything like a carnation. I have room spray that smells just like carnations and it costs a lot less money. I will see if my mother likes this fragrance; it not, I will be returning it to you. Thank you. May 7, 2014
Lovely, but not Carnation I have to agree with others. This is a lovely fragrance, but it lacks that clove bite that a real carnation has. I would recommend it as a very nice scent, but only three stars because it doesn't really smell like carnations. September 26, 2013
Where is the clove? I love the fragrance of carnations -- so much that I asked for this for my birthday. Upon receiving it, I eagerly applied it to my wrist. I was sorely disappointed to smell only a "powdery," almost musty smell, not the clove that I had been expecting and that is the very essence of carnation. April 3, 2013
