One of our customers asked us to find these solid milk chocolate Dutch shoes for her because she had a hard time finding them in the States and remembered getting them in her Christmas stocking as a child. Our search brought us to Holland, where we found a candy company that has been making them for over 100 years, using the same wooden candy molds and the high cocoa content that makes European chocolate so creamy. Just one bite told us they were worth all the effort. About 32 petite chocolate shoes in a 6.2 oz. box.

Ol' Saint Nick Holiday Rememberance As a child; we could hardly wait for St. Nicholas Day. On the eve before Dec 6th (Ol' St. Nick) all the children placed their shoes outside the home for St Nick to visit. Next day early in the morning we would run to the outside porch and to our amazement, our shoes were filled with chocolate "little Dutch shoes". A little shoe within a shoe. What a delight ! We may not have had "new shoes". . . but we did have "Creamy delicious Chocolate Miniature Dutch shoes." What a memory; I do the same today for all the grandchildren. Sweet Memories! When I was 12, my father took me on a European vacation (England, France, and the Netherlands). On our way back to London (where we were staying with friends), we picked up Milk Chocolate Dutch Shoes as a "thank you" present. However, we got hungry and ate the entire box! I saw these chocolates in your catalog and it brought back every memory of that trip (and the time spent with my father) even though it was over 30 years ago! A favorite from Childhood memories When I was a small child my grandparents would go and visit relatives in Mass. We would leave Maine in the morning and it would take about 2 hours to get to their home. We would stop at a candy store that sold these little chocolate shoes and my grandfather would buy my sister and I a box each and told us not to eat them all at once. I learned the hard way. After my grandparents died I went to the store a few times and they didn't carry them anymore. Years past and one day my sister sent me a package of the "little dutch shoes" we had found them again at last. These have been a favorite at my house and now with my youngest daughter as well.
