Women's Shawl Collar Chenille Wrap Robe
My wife loves Chenille robes, but they are very hard to find, got the Vermont Country Store catalog and there was a chenille robe. Great Christmas gift.

Best robe I've had in a long time!
I have no complaints about this robe. I have washed it and not experienced any of the problems described in other reviews. No shrinking, no fading and minimal lint in dryer vent, I love the waistline and sew in belt and it is very warm and comfortable. One of my favorite gifts to myself this Christmas.

Bought this for my wife to replace another robe. Warning - put in the washer by itself and the the dryer by itself. Do not have ayone touch it or fibers will go everywhere and on everything. After its washed once and dried in the dryer it is fine. My wife loves it, warm and cozy. A hit.

Beautiful Color, Cozy & Warm
I just love my new Chenille Wrap Robe. And now I do have a robe that I can still show my figure, a little:)
Thank you for having such wonderful products. A customer for ever.

I've loved these robes for years, but unfortunately haven't been able to find them in any local stores. Thanks to your catalog, I'm ready for another cold winter.

Love the set-in waistband and heavy chenille
I had a chenille robe with a set-in waistband in the back years ago, and long after it had worn to tatters I longed to find a replacement. When I saw this robe, my heart leapt and I immediately ordered it. I liked it so much I've just ordered a second one, for when the first wears out. The chenille is high quality, and, yes, the first couple of times you wash it you'll have a phenomenal amount of blue dryer lint. To me, chenille is way nicer than fleece, which is always too hot for me. And the set-in waistband is way nicer than a bulky detached belt.

warm like a dog; shed like a dog
I love this plush, all cotton robe with the set in, waist-cinching belt. I ordered one and liked it so much, I ordered a second. The sleeves were tacked up in place, and I was able to remove the stitching with a seam ripper so that the sleeves were long enough -- I'm 5' 9". Drawbacks: I have been "shedding" blue cotton fibers all over the house for 2 months. (If I'd dried it in the dryer, instead of line drying, the lint would have completely filled the vent.) And. . .the dye after the first wash has faded in streaks, as though the garment was dyed after manufacture rather than using a colored thread. All the same, it is a beautiful color, absorbent, and warm and I hope the company keeps it in stock.

It's great, but shrinks
This is a great robe, the robe I've looked for - it is long, warm, and soft. However, be careful about the size you order as one reviewer suggested. I washed it before wearing as instructed, drying it on Low. As an experienced seamstress, both clothing and quilting, I measured the width and length of each section of the robe before washing and after washing. It shrank three inches in width; i.e. an extra large robe that measured 56 inches around (hips) was 53 inches after washing. Several weeks after washing, the measurement remain 53 inches. I recommend the robe, just think twice about what size you order.
