Nostalgic Candles I remember fondly growing up and visiting relatives, who always had a Chianti covered or in process with this colorful wax dripping. This always seemed so 'homey' to me. I'm not a huge fan of Chianti, but did recently purchase a bottle and then remembered these candles dripping down the bottle. So I wanted to find some of these candles to package as a gift for my cousins along with a bottle of Chianti and a glass plate to go under the bottle. I will be presenting these as the holidays draw closer. I'm looking forward to their reactions and the Vermont Country Store will help me! October 15, 2013
Candles bring back warm memories I remember these candles every holiday growing up in CT in the sixties. I used to sit at the kitchen table and just wait for the colors to drip down the sides. Sometimes we used a knife to 'help' it along since as kids we were not very patient. So I had to have some for my family and my siblings this year. Of course we put them in a chianti bottle as shown and they worked great and were as fun as I remember. Great gifts but even better memories! December 28, 2012
