Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabrics hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they’re made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England.

The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that’s reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills and extend time between washings.

For best results, machine wash cold and stretch the tablecloth while it’s line drying. Washing tightens the weave and softens the fabric for a thicker and more cushiony look and feel. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linens are machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage. Made in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cozy, comfortable and pretty tablecloths NOTE: They are cotton and they do shrink a lot. I've had a Wedegwood Blue one for many years and it has held up very well. Recently, we have replaced our dining room table and needed a bigger tablecloth. After reading reviews I took a chance and ordered next size up 62 X 108 for a table that is 75 x 48 oval. Before washing, it was way long, to the floor. I prefer to wash in warm water and dry in dryer, because that is easiest. I actually like the way the weave has tightened up and now it matches the the older tablecloth and napkins I already had. I also bought a white one and both are lovely. I think it fits PERFECTLY. Thank you! February 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product, awesome customer service. Looks great on the table! Very high quality. Exchanged for different color and customer service couldn't have been better. February 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love these tablecloths!! This is my 5th tablecloth over the last 15 years!!! They last forever and the color hasn't faded yet. I use them everyday. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that they do shrink, which they say on the washing directions. If your table is the exact measurements of the size you want, go to the next size. It will be longer but at least you can still use it. Better that than too short. If you dry the tablecloth in the dryer, will it definitely shrink. That's why I order the next size. These are the best tablecloths - not like the ones you see in the dept. stores. A little more expensive but worth it. January 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tabletop Treat I purchased two of these tablecloths to replace those my mother had had for decades. Hers were faded and worn, but she refused to get rid of them since she couldn't find more like them. On a hunch, I went to your website since you specialize in hard-to-find items, and there they were! She and I are both thrilled with this instant update. Thank you for being excellent "stewards of the past." Browsing your website is a very pleasant stroll down Memory Lane, and I'm sure to order more items soon. January 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Tablecloth ... and place mats Having a new tablecloth for the holidays was on top of my holiday to do list. I ordered the red and white checked, mountain weave tablecloth and the matching place mats. They are simply beautiful. After reading the other posters, I did order up one size because I intended to wash and put them in the dryer. That was a great idea that worked perfectly. We have had guests who could not tell us enough how much they liked the new cloth and mats. I would buy them again and these are staying on our table all year since we have kitchen that is white with red accents. This purchase is amazing. Thanks! January 10, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by What happened to these wonderful tablecloths? I have purchased four beautiful Vermont woven tablecloths over the past years. They are heavy enough to stay well on the table, the yarn feels just thick enough, the weave is beautiful. Last month I ordered another cloth. It is so much lighter, the weave doesn't seem to have the same tightness. It is not of the same quality. It is my hope that the proprietors of this store will look into this to find out "what happened?" December 5, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed I ordered a tablecloth that was advertised as "Cranberry". It arrived and the tag and order had a color code of "bur". And it sure was a dark purplish burgundy, not the bright Cranberry I expected. I decided I could live with it, then I washed it. I lost 20 inches from a 90 inch tablecloth and it doesn't come close to fitting my table. So now I have useless table cloth. What a waste of my money November 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love these tableclothes but I have purchased at least three of these tablecloths, love the look and texture. The sage color is perfect for what I wanted. But it does seem just slightly thinner than the previous purchases. November 15, 2015

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Original Mountain Weave All Cotton Tablecloths …

"My husband and I have only been married for 7 years today, but I "inherited" a whole house full of stuff when we got married. There was a whole box full of these tablecloths, and most had been used only a few times, but many had seen a number of years of use, some up to 20 and were still serviceable. I saved the red and green one for Christmas, and the blue one for everyday, and the rest I shared with family...they are still in great shape!" - cathi cogle, Seymour, TN

"I have been ordering Mountain Weave tablecloths and napkins for about 30 years. Even the oldest ones are still in good shape. Our family uses them every day, as well as for company meals. Whenever we changed decor or table size, we just ordered more. They all come in handy in our new house, where we have room to set up several tables at one time for parties. They can't be beat for easy care, cozy appearance, and durability." - Shannon Chamberlin, Little Rock, AR

"These are my favorite tablecloths. A friend from New England introduced me to them years ago. The best thing about them is no ironing is required! And they come in a host of wonderful colors. They are great for everyday use and also for company. I love the feel of the cotton; it's so much better than the polyester table linens everyone else sells." - Kathleen Panek, Springfield, PA

"I inherited several of these wonderful tablecloths from my mother, and I know a few are over 30 years old. The best part is that I have colors that are no longer offered! Now that I have a new adjustable table, I'm so glad I can order some new for myself, in colors my mother couldn't get!" - Wendy Saunders, Oyster Bay, NY

”The woven table cloth is beautiful and easy care! It can be dried on the air setting without shrinkage and removed promptly with no need for ironing. My family and friends have commented on how nice it looks. I plan on purchasing it another color.” - Karol-Ann Rogers, Feeding Hills, MA
