Great product. The service was ultra fast. Always good to do business with Vermont Country Store. April 9, 2014
This is a great product I have owned a rack for the past 40 years. My old one finally broke and I needed to replace it. This is the biggest I could find. Company's need to make them about 2 inches wider. A large bath towel DOES NOT fit. March 11, 2014
A Very Nice Drying Rack This sturdy wooden rack makes it easy to dry lots of laundry without turning on the dryer, thus saving money and energy. Taller than wide, the rack fits in our small kitchen. Its good design and solid construction make it worth the price. February 13, 2014
Low cost drying. Using the clothes dryer all winter is costly. I had a wooden drying rack a few years ago but until now I was unable to find one of this size and quality. February 12, 2014
Useful and durable I purchased the large rack approximately 8 years ago and it's still going strong! I've had it outside during the summer drying swimsuits (through some rain also) and down in basement drying any number of items. It's very sturdy and well-built. I highly recommend this item - well worth the money, plus it's still made in the USA which is a huge plus for me. September 11, 2013
Sturdy Bought this drying rack for the items I didn't want to put in the dryer. It holds quit a few and the air can get to the items. In the summer I put it near a window so it can get the summer breeze and dry the items faster. August 26, 2013
Ready but rough! I've already made contact on this product. No quarrel with the qualtiy of the structure, however for the $70 I would have expected the rods to be much smoother so as not to snag delicate fabrics! July 9, 2013
This reminds me of my mother's old drying rack. My mother had a drying rack which I still use. I wanted another one to save money. I love it!!! You can still smell the wood and it does not snag. I know it will still work for years to come. June 26, 2013

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Wooden Drying Racks …

"My mother always hung our clothes out to dry in the summer time as well, and I do also! The things we are taught when growing up don't mean that much when we are small. But as we grow older, it seems to be the thing to do, teaching your own children what we were taught as young ones ourselves. I have taught both my children and grand-children the arts of baking, canning, and saving the planet (in certain ways).I love the photo of the little girl helping mom hang clothes. WONDERFUL! Thanks." - Alice, McMinnville, OR

"Recently I ordered the 24 Drying Rack and am very pleased with it. I plan to use this basically when we go camping and it is the perfect size. I Am also pleased with the strength and workmanship." - Yvonne, Port Orchard,

"I ordered a wooden clothes rack recently. I like it very much, especially the wonderful smell of real wood." - Darlene Walter, Seattle, WA

"My mother had one always, and in my apartment we cannot hang out clothes . . . Hey, solar energy, c'mon! Congratulations on free to dry. VA" - val b, Plano, TX

"The design is tried and true. What sets this drying rack apart is its sturdiness, quality wood uprights and dowels, AND it is made in Maine. If you're looking for a drying rack, this is the one." - Carina Lister, Long Beach, CA

"I still have my wooden drying rack I bought from The Vermont Country Store in the late 1970s. It is wider than the current 27x 50 and has more rungs. It is in as good of shape as the day I got it and the rack has had plenty of use of the years. I have moved eight times and the rack has moved with me. When I think, "What would I take with me if I had to downsize to a one-room place?" My Vermont Country Store wooden drying rack is on the list. I can hand a whole load of wash on the rack! I plan to go out with this wooden rack and will it to my daughter or granddaughter." - Kris Cerone, Oceanside, CA

"The best word to describe these drying racks is "Beefy." I'd gotten tired of the flimsy drying racks you can find at the big box stores. I ordered this one to replace one that had recently broken. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came fully assembled. It's very smoothly sanded and feels very sturdy. It's also nice to find that it's made in America. I plan on replacing my other two drying racks with these." - Rachel, Blacksburg, VA
