UL listed.

Disappointed I bought this because my other iron kept leaking all over the place (expensive iron, too) and this one reminded me of the one my mother had for years. While it's heavy, which I like, and has a nice hot steam, it's a pain for trying to press (not iron) on quilt pieces or blocks. The steam holes catch on my fabric and cause wrinkles. I have to be very careful. I think there are some rough edges on the steam holes but I don't want to do anything that will make it worse. April 11, 2014
Made like they used to! An iron that doesn't drip, WOW! Steams and irons like in olden days! The iron is shorter and gets into those small areas neatly! A couple drawbacks, the temperature selector is a little loose and the cord stem is long and somewhat hindering, but the good our weighs these two items. Thank You Vermont Country Store! Wish I loved it Pros: Does have more heft than plastic irons Cons: 1. Some parts seems kind of flimsy; ie. heat setting lever moves too easily, feels "mushy" rather than specific. Makes me wonder "Am I really on the cotton setting?" 2. Cord placement is such that it rubs on my arm when I iron. 3. When being used the iron spits water out of the hole to fill the reservoir. 4 No burst of steam feature. January 15, 2014
Great Classic Iron I haven't had the opportunity to use my new iron, I try to iron as little as I absolutely have to… however, the iron is exactly what I was looking for to replace my very old iron that recently broke. It's sturdy and has just the right amount of "options". I was looking for a simple iron that could also provide steam and I'm happy with this choice. December 22, 2013
Just like the one Mom used to have This iron looks exactly like the one I used, when Mom taught me how to iron. It has some weight to it, which is nice (you don't have to use muscle to press down when ironing). Easy to refill with tap water. This beats the lightweight, more modern iron, that I've had for several years. March 27, 2013
Wanted to love this! I so wanted to love this iron. It looks just like the one my mother used when I was a child. But I was sadly disappointed. It's no heavier than my newer iron. Had to press down hard and still there were wrinkles. I'm going back to my other iron. This iron is made in China and only looks like the iron my mother used. February 19, 2013
Mom Loves It! Mom recently celebrated her 82nd birthday and the only gift she wanted was a "heavy" iron. We shopped from store to store...rejecting everything displayed. That's when I spied the advertisement for this iron. Ever seen an 82 yr old giggle with excitement over an iron? She wanted to end the birthday celebration and get right down to ironing! It's not my mother's iron I was so excited to see online the Classic Steam Iron like your mother's. I'm 63 yrs. old so I know how heavy my mother's iron was, and it also doesn't steam like my other irons. The only thing that I see that's like my mother's iron is that it looks just like my mother's iron. I'm very sorry about this review but I don't want someone else to get excited about something and it's not true. January 13, 2013
