color wheel I love the color wheel! So glad your company has those for sale! Needed one for my retro silver tree! Thanks for your wonderful products. January 13, 2014
Works fine so far! I like this color wheel but the bulb limit is 60 watts. It's not made as well as the vintage ones but it serves the purpose. I'm hoping it lasts many years but only time will tell. January 10, 2014
new materials The color wheel we use to light up our 1970's aluminum tree was made of metal. We are pleased with the replacement from Vermont Country Store that is made of plastic. If the motor lasts as long as the motor on the original, we will be very pleased. January 7, 2014
For use with my antique aluminum tree. I have several types of the original color wheels, including two like this one. Over time, the motors tend to burn out. I was happy to be able to buy a new color wheel with a new motor. From what I can tell, it is just like the one my family had in the 1960s. January 4, 2014
Christmas Gift I bought the color wheel for my brother & his family. They have a silver tree. He said he has multible colors lights on the tree. It is a newer tree so he can use light unlike the old trees. He plans to try the color wheel next year without putting lights on the tree. He said it didn't put much color out but it may be he was using wrong size bulb. January 2, 2014
Mom My mother has dementia and is home with a caregiver 24/7. Her grandson put up her christmas tree for her as I was out of town. He put up the old aluminum tree we had since I was a child, I am late 50's now. After that she was constantly searching for the old color wheel we had that I hadn't seen for over 30 yrs. I decided to see if I could find one, and saw it on your site with good reviews, so I ordered it for her. She was like a kid, she loved it!!! The illness has taken a lot away from her and us but not everything. I was thrilled I could find a way to give her a little happiness! Thanks December 30, 2013
This product is simple and beautiful The color wheel came with assembly required. The simplicity and ease of assembly was great. It was ready for use in a matter of minutes. The motor is so quite and movement is smooth. It helped bring back the magic of my Tinsel Christmas Tree!! December 29, 2013
Awesome addition to our aluminum tree Our daughter inherited my mother-in-laws aluminum tree but the revolving light was no where to be found. I was so excited when I found that Vermont Company sold new ones. It was a huge hit for the Christmas season. December 29, 2013

What Our Customers Are Saying about Our Color Wheel …

"I had one when I was a little boy, 5 years old. I remember it well. We had the light hanging from the ceiling shining down on the tree. I remember how pretty it looked. I also remember on one of the colors the tree looked see-through, but I don't remember which one it was. To make a long story short, my mom and dad went through a divorce, and Mom stored all of our stuff at my grandparents' and they had a fire. Unfortunately we lost everything. I saw a silver tree at Home Depot last year and knew I had to have one. I didn't think they were being made anymore since I haven't seen one in 35 years." - Sonny Zehm, Guerneville, CA

"As a teen in the 60's our Christmas tree was Aluminum Pom Pom Dancing With Color Because of a Color Wheel like this one. At Age 54, I am recapturing those days in purchasing this color wheel to brightly light my own tree in 2008! Vermont Country Store has a price that surpasses any I have found. They have great prices and FUN-damental things! Thank you, VCS." - Laraine Brister, Jayess, MS

"Absolutely love this Color Wheel. We have two trees and one is white with the color wheel rotating under it. My grandkids love it and so do we. Brings back great memories. Love your store and have shared it with many of my friends. God Bless and Merry Christmas." - Janice Finn, Anniston, AL

"Works wonderfully, is quiet (unlike my vintage color wheel). Shipped super-fast and just as advertised! Thanks, VCS!" - Scott Mann, Murfreesboro, TN

"I, too, am a child of the '50s in my 50s. I remember when the color wheel was "high tech"! We had it shining on a white Christmas tree! I love The Vermont Country Store. You help to re-create my memories of days past!" - Jan V., Fresh Meadows, NY

"I have been looking for a color wheel for an aluminum tree from the 60s. I have looked everywhere on the internet, and this is the best price that i have found." - Rick, Bluefield, WV

"I bought two of these for my vintage 1959 aluminum tree. What a fantastic color wheel. The colors are vibrant, and put off a groovy glow on the tree. They even have a nice on/off switch located on the cord. I would highly recommend this to anyone searching for a color wheel." - Stephen Marcus, Granada Hills, CA

"Growing up in rural Ohio, this was my favorite tree with the color wheel. We had red velvet Christmas balls on a silver tree. At 5 years old, I thought it was the most beautiful tree ever!" - Terri Kotula, Bryan, OH

"When I was a preteen, my dad brought home a silver tree with the wheel. We loved it, but I don't think my mom liked it very much. Every year, mom would put the same color balls on the tree. One year would be blue, the next year red, etc. Our favorite moment was turning out all the lights, except for the color wheel. we would have popcorn and sodas while we watched my all-time favorite movie, "White Christmas." Thank you, VCS, for bringing back the memories." - brenda metz, sacramento, CA
