Tea connoisseurs from around the world have insisted upon these teapots from Staffordshire, England where they've been made since 1745—first produced on the estate of Charles Marquis of Rockingham. It’s said that no teapot in the world makes finer tea than these high-quality, reasonably priced pots. Fans claim that it's the clay from which they are formed and their special shape, which encourages tea leaves to swirl gently in boiling water for the ideal infusion, that creates the best tasting cup of tea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Adore This Teapot I've been brewing loose tea in a mesh ball in my cup for years. The same tea brewed in this magical teapot is off the charts better. The unexpected surprise is how beautiful the finish is on the pot - it's not just a brown pot - it's lustrous finish looks different in different light - just adds to the enjoyment. I wish I had purchased one ages ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The English do it best! I had a similar tea pot for some years (almost 30) from the same maker. It was showing its age and suddenly the handle fell off. It was time for a new one and luckily your company had the same I was looking for. It's a great item, and when drinking tea, there is no other way to do it. I prefer ground tea in the ball seeping, but I also use tea bags for stewing the liquid. The pot does a fantastic job; and there's nothing better than drinking a great cup of tea. And the English know this the best and the reason for purchasing the pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect teapot The right pot can make or break a good cup of tea. The Rockingham Teapot is a definite keeper. I had one for years and when it finally broke, I replaced it with something inferior. I learned from my mistake and bought the Rockingham. I got the smaller size, which makes about two cups of good, strong tea (brew five minutes). I use it every afternoon after lunch and it makes my day better. I only wish Vermont Country Store offered tea cozy to go with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Teapot I recently traveled to Ireland with my wife and stayed at a lovely BB in Doolin. Every morning I was served tea in a teapot similar to this teapot. I purchased this teapot to remind me of that memory. It is wonderful, I look forward to using it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from doubly disappointed Had my eye on the Rockingham teapot for some time. It sounded very special. Finally ordered the 6 cup brown. Was very pleased with the beautiful glossy, warm brown color and the graceful traditional shape. However, it arrived with 3 separate places that were "bare" of glaze. Possibly where another pot or shelf had touched before firing? Loved the pot, and did not want to send it back, but was afraid that 2 of the unglazed parts on tip of spout and around the lid area could become weak points when the pot was used. VCS was gracious in the return process and sent a new pot. This one had no defect. It works fine, too. Unfortunately, it is not the same beautiful warm brown as the 1st pot. It is very dark, almost black, but not "sharp" like actual black. I was looking for that beautiful warm, glossy brown again. I did not have the heart to send the second pot back, since it wasn't defective, just a very plain, unattractive non-color. Now I regret not sending it back. To be fair, the product description does say to "expect variations". Of course, it is the nature of hand made pottery to have variations. That is part of it's charm, and why I buy it from local artisans. However, if I was in the store, and saw these pots in person, I would not have chosen either one of them. I may still have purchased a Rockingham teapot, just neither of these two. So bottom line, maybe for particular me, this is not the kind of product that should be ordered online, but rather chosen in person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great teapot I had bought the exact same Rockingham teapot from you years ago and unfortunately recently knocked the handle off. Since it makes the best tea ever, I immediately ordered a replacement and reconciled myself to a wait with less good tea. Instead I received the replacement within three days, my disposition improved immediately since I could now again make a decent pot of tea, and I was extremely impressed by the quality of the service. Thank you so much.
