Tea connoisseurs from around the world have insisted upon these teapots from Staffordshire, England where they've been made since 1745—first produced on the estate of Charles Marquis of Rockingham. It’s said that no teapot in the world makes finer tea than these high-quality, reasonably priced pots. Fans claim that it's the clay from which they are formed and their special shape, which encourages tea leaves to swirl gently in boiling water for the ideal infusion, that creates the best tasting cup of tea.

  • The only teapot for true tea connoisseurs
  • Special shape encourages tea leaves to swirl for a robust infusion
  • Each piece is handcrafted, so all the teapots are unique and vary slightly
  • Not intended for use on a stove top or in a microwave
  • Glazed inside and out
  • The 6-cup teapot holds about 36 oz. and measures 8 1/2"Lx6 1/2"Hx3 3/4"W
  • The 2-cup teapot holds about 12 oz. and measures 7 1/2"Lx5 1/2"Hx3 1/4"W

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect teapot The right pot can make or break a good cup of tea. The Rockingham Teapot is a definite keeper. I had one for years and when it finally broke, I replaced it with something inferior. I learned from my mistake and bought the Rockingham. I got the smaller size, which makes about two cups of good, strong tea (brew five minutes). I use it every afternoon after lunch and it makes my day better. I only wish Vermont Country Store offered tea cozy to go with it. July 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rockingham Teapot I just simply love the older designs. The teapot is beautiful. Great quality and service! July 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely Teapot I recently traveled to Ireland with my wife and stayed at a lovely BB in Doolin. Every morning I was served tea in a teapot similar to this teapot. I purchased this teapot to remind me of that memory. It is wonderful, I look forward to using it. June 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tea pot I collect tea pots and had to have this one for my collection. A real English Brown Betty. I do use all of my tea pots June 7, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by doubly disappointed Had my eye on the Rockingham teapot for some time. It sounded very special. Finally ordered the 6 cup brown. Was very pleased with the beautiful glossy, warm brown color and the graceful traditional shape. However, it arrived with 3 separate places that were "bare" of glaze. Possibly where another pot or shelf had touched before firing? Loved the pot, and did not want to send it back, but was afraid that 2 of the unglazed parts on tip of spout and around the lid area could become weak points when the pot was used. VCS was gracious in the return process and sent a new pot. This one had no defect. It works fine, too. Unfortunately, it is not the same beautiful warm brown as the 1st pot. It is very dark, almost black, but not "sharp" like actual black. I was looking for that beautiful warm, glossy brown again. I did not have the heart to send the second pot back, since it wasn't defective, just a very plain, unattractive non-color. Now I regret not sending it back. To be fair, the product description does say to "expect variations". Of course, it is the nature of hand made pottery to have variations. That is part of it's charm, and why I buy it from local artisans. However, if I was in the store, and saw these pots in person, I would not have chosen either one of them. I may still have purchased a Rockingham teapot, just neither of these two. So bottom line, maybe for particular me, this is not the kind of product that should be ordered online, but rather chosen in person. February 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great teapot I had bought the exact same Rockingham teapot from you years ago and unfortunately recently knocked the handle off. Since it makes the best tea ever, I immediately ordered a replacement and reconciled myself to a wait with less good tea. Instead I received the replacement within three days, my disposition improved immediately since I could now again make a decent pot of tea, and I was extremely impressed by the quality of the service. Thank you so much. February 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rockingham teapot cracked Love the teapot, but we only had it less than 3 weeks and there is a crack in it, we don't know how it happened. We didn't have it on a stovetop or microwave, don't think it hit on anything. So, was very disappointing because that was good money to pay for a teapot. I no longer have the receipt or the packing because I never dreamed I would be sending it back. Anyway, its a great teapot. I wish the smaller size was larger than 6oz, because the larger size is somewhat too big. May 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rockingham Tea Pot I have a love for a great cup of tea. I have found the Rockingham Tea Pot a great way to enjoy my favorite beverage. I have found that due to the hand crafted nature of this great product a slight inconvenience. Namely the spout sometimes dribbles a little at the beginning of the pour. Never-the-less it preforms superbly in brewing a wonderful cup of tea. I have the experience for only one of these finely individually crafted tea pots and therefore cannot say that others will experience the same dribbling as I have. March 12, 2015
