Woven into each Mountain Weave tablecloth is a rich history of self-reliance and ingenuity that harkens back to the homespun fabric hand-loomed in the mountains of Vermont 150 years ago. Only instead of using whatever material happened to be on hand like our forebears, they're made from the finest USA-grown cotton woven on state-of-the-art looms by master weavers here in New England.

The soft, sturdy fabric is then sent to our neighbors down the road in Dorset, Vermont where each oval tablecloth is individually cut and fringed by hand. The result is an attractive yet durable table covering that's reversible so you can simply flip it over to hide those unsightly spills and extend the time between washings.

  • Oval tablecloth measures 62"x90"
  • 100% USA-grown cotton
  • Classic oval shape with rounded corners
  • Reversible for double the wear
  • Washing softens the cotton and tightens the weave*
  • We highly recommend using our Cut-To-Fit Table Pad (#65706) to protect your table from spills and dents
  • Made in the USA

*For best results, machine wash cold and stretch the oval tablecloth while it's line drying. Washing tightens the weave and softens the fabric for a thicker and more cushiony look and feel. Expect up to 10% shrinkage due to the 100% cotton weave; if the table linen is machine dried, you can expect increased shrinkage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tabletop Treat I purchased two of these tablecloths to replace those my mother had had for decades. Hers were faded and worn, but she refused to get rid of them since she couldn't find more like them. On a hunch, I went to your website since you specialize in hard-to-find items, and there they were! She and I are both thrilled with this instant update. Thank you for being excellent "stewards of the past." Browsing your website is a very pleasant stroll down Memory Lane, and I'm sure to order more items soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to these wonderful tablecloths? I have purchased four beautiful Vermont woven tablecloths over the past years. They are heavy enough to stay well on the table, the yarn feels just thick enough, the weave is beautiful. Last month I ordered another cloth. It is so much lighter, the weave doesn't seem to have the same tightness. It is not of the same quality. It is my hope that the proprietors of this store will look into this to find out "what happened?"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tablecloth & Napkins I was pleased with the weight of both the tablecloth and the napkins. Very close weave and seems quite durable. I immediately washed them and was quite happy with the outcome. I would not hesitate to order again in other sizes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light fastness I was really happy to find these tablecloths. They are locally made; come in an array of colors and sizes; and seem to be high quality. However, there was one little problem that I encountered: light fastness. After three days of direct sunlight, my hunter green tablecloth paled. And wherever I had left objects, like citronella candles and a vase, those of course stayed the original color. I carefully washed the cloth, hoping that it was just as weak to water as it was to light, and it simply stayed the same. I don't know what to do. A simple decoration project has turned into a headache.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These wear like iron. I bought this as a Father's Day gift for my Dad. He has 2 of these he's had forever, but they're finally really starting to show some age and wear. He just loves these tablecloths, and especially the red. He was really surprised and happy to receive a new one. He loves the weave of these and the weight of the material. Would definitely buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, BUT SHRINKS!!!! I have recently ordered many items in the black/stone pattern. IF YOU ALLOW FOR AT LEAST 10 TO 15 PER CENT SHRINKAGE IN OVERALL SIZE, and that works for you, you'll absolutely love these cloths. They're much heavier than they were many years ago. I did wash my items before using them in order to have them fit on my table. Washed on gentle in cold water. Mostly just let them soak for a while, only a little agitation w/only a little bit of liquid detergent. Still put them thru 2 rinses. Again, very little agitation. Put them in the dryer to tumble on air only. Needed to do that because they do wrinkle a little, but will fall out over time. Personally, I would prefer to have a black & white pattern instead of black & stone. I have several items from a long time ago in the black & white. Try to be very careful that you don't get a pulled thread in them. These are mostly for "show". In my kitchen, I use clear plastic place mats. If you dab up spots at the time they occur, they are very easy to keep clean without stains.
