Traditional Mountain Weave 100% Cotton Napkins
These napkins are a favorite
I've had these napkins many times in the past and always loved their softness; however, the ones recently purchased seem stiff. I didn't check to see if they were 100% cotton. I still like them, but they aren't as soft as I would like,

Quality and Style - Yes, but Softeness - sadly NO
I loved the variety of colors available in the Mountain Weave Cotton Napkins but truly expected the material to be much softer. My hope is that after several washes they will become softer.

nice, thick napkins
I'd have given these napkins five stars except they come out of the dryer badly wrinkled. Next time I'll hang them to dry, touch up with iron if necessary. Otherwise, they're fine quality. I'm keeping them.

Pros: Lovely colors.
Cons: Horrible shrinkage on the first wash. Also, for some reason, the rust ones shrunk significantly more than the beige ones. I did stretch them out after the initial wash, and I air-dried them, as recommended, but frankly I don't want to make that kind of time investment in my table linens. I want a throw-it-in-the-washer-with-the-towels, throw-it-in-the-dryer-and-forget-about-it experience. If I do that with these, in a few washes, I'll probably have napkins the size of coasters.
Won't be buying these again, and can't recommend that anyone else do so either. Unless maybe you get them dry-cleaned instead. (Insert earlier comment about time investment here.)
P.S., this is the first time I have ever been unhappy with a VCS purchase. I kind of wish I hadn't made the purchase, but having already washed and used the napkins, I don't feel like I can send them back.

I used some napkins at a friends house and I really liked them and went on a quest to find some like them. They were soft and just worked well. Not like the slick cheap ones I kept ending up with. I just accidentally ran across these napkins on The Vermont Country Store website and they looked a lot like the ones I had used so I spent the six dollars each and bought six. I love them. No ironing. I just keep them folded by the kitchen cabinet and grab them for dinner. They aren't huge but they are big enough. They get softer with washings (and they were soft before washing). I like them. A lot!

Love these! Do shrink when washed but still a good size for dinner. Wash, dry and fold . No need to iron! Will definitely buy more. Use them daily

A Touch of Nostalgia
We live in Breezy Point, NY and were affected by Hurricane Sandy. In doing over our living room, my husband and I, as we have done with the rest of our home, try to modernize while keeping a bit of what's important for us, family memories. We have a great round decorative side table which belonged to my mother-in-law, Faith, who purchased it around 1935. I have refinished it and oiled it with a fine tung oil finish and always seek to expose most of the top, while preserving it from an occasional plant or fresh flowers. I wanted a small table cloth to cover part of it. I knew what I wanted and found it in your online catalog! I chose 2 different colors to change once in a while. Thank you for helping us to refurbish our home while preserving family memories!

Great quality in lovely hues
I bought these napkins to go inside breadbaskets I purchased at the same time. I chose the Mountain Weave napkins (terracotta) because they coordinated so well with wood. The quality of the napkins are top shelf. I could not be any happier with the outcome especially considering every item was made in the USA! I greatly appreciate it that Vermont Country identifies the origin of their products. Their customer service is the very best. I wish other companies would try to imitate them.
